To make this, just mix a cup of dried TVP with some spices and boiling water and in just a few minutes you have a nice meaty mix to crumble over your pasta pizza.

I used 8 oz dry gluten-free pasta. Barilla brand elbows are what I used here. They’re available at my local grocery for a great price. Use what you like and what you have. Just spread out the cooked pasta in an 8″ x 8″ baking pan. For a thinner pasta pizza, use a 9″ x 13″ baking dish.

Vegan Pasta Pizza Sauce!

Of course, a delicious pizza sauce is essential here! I used a 28 oz can of tomato sauce and added in some onion, garlic, basil, oregano, nutritional yeast, and, because I like my sauce a bit sweet, I also added a little bit of sugar. We had a French exchange student once who was absolutely horrified that I added sugar to spaghetti sauce so not everyone likes it. It’s fine to omit it if sugar isn’t your thing in sauces.

Once the pasta is spread out, just layer in the rest of the ingredients like a pizza. Spread the sauce on the top.

Add the prepared TVP and sliced Beyond Brats. Vegan lunch meats chopped up would be good on here, too.

And your choice of bell peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes, onions, olives, etc. I ended up making a couple of layers of toppings. I also added some capers because I love them!

Bake at 323 degrees F for about 20 minutes, until the meats start getting browned and the cheese is melted. Goes great with some garlic bread and a big, green salad!

Here’s the recipe below. It’s longer and looks way more complicated than it actually is! If you make it, I’d LOVE to see how it turned out! Post a pic on Instagram or Pinterest and tag Planted365!
