Homemade Halloween Dog Treat Recipe: Bone Shaped Milky Biscuits

For our pups with allergies, I’m going to have to say that this one isn’t hypoallergenic, mostly because of the whole wheat flour. You could try making it with coconut flour if you want to give it a whirl.

The powdered milk can cause issues for pups with dairy issues, though. Since it’s a milk bone, I can’t really think of a good alternative for that. If you know of one, please let us know in the comments.

How to make it:

  • Preheat your oven to 325 degrees.
  • Combine the hot water and the butter or margarine together in a large bowl. Mix in the egg, powdered milk and salt.
  • Slowly add the flour, about a half a cup at a time and stirring as you go.
  • Knead the mixture until you form a stiff dough.
  • Roll it out on a floured surface so that it is about 1/2 inch thick.
