Miquella Crosses - NPCs and functions
Miquella's Crosses point you in the right direction, assuming you want to follow the narrative arc. Moreover, you might find the following in these spots:
- NPCs - There are NPCs resting at these areas, and you can talk to them to learn about their motivations. Some of these NPCs have quests, while others sell goods. They may also move to other locations when you meet certain requirements.
- NPC letters - You might discover letters left behind by NPCs. They mention clues as to where you need to go next.
- Site of Grace - Most locations also have a Site of Grace (i.e. waypoint/fast travel point).
- Empyrean Blood Burgeon - These herbs grow near Miquella's Crosses, and they're used for crafting.
- Miquella's words - If you interact with a cross, you can read a passage from Miquella stating what he has sacrificed throughout his ordeals.
Maps to help you find Miquella Cross locations
One of the aforementioned NPCs is called the Hornsent, who's on a quest for vengeance against a bloodthirsty being. The Hornsent gives you maps that show the locations of other Miquella's Crosses.
In our playthrough, we only obtained two of these maps. These maps marked seven locations, but we ended up discovering more. As of the time of this writing, we're unsure if the Hornsent provides more maps down the line.
Center - Miquella Crosses map
This map shows the Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree Miquella Crosses that we've found in the central portion of the world map. These include the ones in Gravesite Plain and Scadu Altus.
1A - Three-Path Cross
- Location: Gravesite Plain - Along the main road heading north from the Scorched Ruins.
- NPCs: Redmane Freyja and the Hornsent (gives you a map).
- Miquella's words: "I abandon here the first of the flesh of my body."
1B - Main Gate Cross
- Location: Belurat Tower Settlement - From the Three-Path Cross, go through the large gate leading to Belurat.
- NPCs: Ansbach and Moore (sells items).
- Miquella's words: "I abandon here a part of the flesh of my body."
1C - Belurat Interior Cross
- Location: Belurat Tower Settlement - Once inside Belurat, make your way to the section with rooftops where Gravebirds are perched. From there, look for a path that leads to a doorway with ruined stone steps (which is also where Giant Scorpions drop down to surprise you). Just outside that doorway is a section with rubble. Hop on top of the rubble and check the back to find this cross.
- NPCs: N/A
- Miquella's words: "I abandon here my arm sinistral."
1D - Pillar-Path Cross
- Location: Gravesite Plains (Pillar-Path) - Cross Ellac Greatbridge and tag the Castle Front Site of Grace. Then, instead of heading inside Castle Ensis, follow the road that leads south-southeast.
- NPCs: Thiollier (sells items and has a quest chain).
- Miquella's words: "I abandon here a part of the flesh of my body."

1E - Castle Ensis Checkpoint
- Location: Castle Ensis - Just before the main gate that leads deeper into the castle.
- NPCs: N/A
- Miquella's words: "I abandon here the flesh of my body."
1F - Highroad Cross
- Location: Scadu Altus - After defeating the Castle Ensis boss, you should spot this a short distance away from the exit.
- NPCs: Leda and Hornsent (gives you another map).
- Miquella's words: "I abandon here my heart."

Moorth Ruins
- Location: Scadu Altus - Directly east from the Highroad Cross
- NPCs: Dryleaf Dane
- Miquella's words: "I abandon here the flesh of my body."

Scaduview Cross
- Location: Scadu Altus (south) - This Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree Miquella Cross requires you to follow the road south of Moorth Ruins. When you encounter the dragon, check the side of the plateau's base to find a spiritspring. Use it to make Torrent jump high into the air. You should then find the cross at the end of a sloping path guarded by Gravebirds.

South - Miquella Crosses map
The map above shows the Miquella Crosses in the southern portion of the realm. These include the Cerulean Coast and Charo's Hidden Grave regions.

Cerulean Coast Cross
- Location: Cerulean Coast - Travel along the road that leads south from the Cerulean Coast Site of Grace. Just past the marker where you pick up the map of the region, you'll spot a sloping path that leads to this cross.
- NPCs: N/A
- Miquella's words: "I abandon here my doubt and vacillation."
Fissure Cross
- Location: Stone Coffin Fissure - You'll visit this dungeon while doing Thiollier's quest.
- NPCs: N/A
- Miquella's words: "I abandon here my love."

The map above has the Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree Miquella Cross locations in the northern regions. These include Shadow Keep and the Ancient Ruins of Rauh.

Storehouse - Fourth Floor Cross
- Location: Shadow Keep - Continue exploring the fortress until you reach the Specimen Storehouse. Then, climb up using staircases and hanging specimens until you see a ledge with the Site of Grace.
- NPCs: Redmane Freyja and Ansbach - They're both in the Specimen Storehouse but in different rooms/floors.
- Miquella's words: I abandon here my arm dextral."
Rauh Ancient Ruins (East) Cross
- Location: Rauh Ancient Ruins - Proceed through the first temple complex to reach the lower area of the plateau. There's a paladin-type enemy near the cross. Beyond it is a Brazier Giant that shoots one-hit kill flame beams.

- Miquella's words: "I abandon here the last of the flesh of my body."

Enir Ilim Spiral Rise Cross
- Location: Enir-Ilim - Found inside the Enir-Ilim dungeon. Progress normally until you get past the enemies in the outdoor garden. Then, ascend the grand staircase that leads to this chamber. Go beat up some inquisitor spellcasters along the way.
- NPCs: N/A
- Miquella's words: "I abandon here all my fears."
