the best park I ever visited, numerous times, took my family recently after a long time and was not disappointed. Highly recommend. If you are not familiar with the park, best plan 2 days. Unforgettable for young and old. The management works tirelessly to add new exciting things and maintain the established rides. The gardens and plants are exquisite and in pristine conditions. It's a joy to wander through the different gardensCongratulations.I visited first time when the park opened in the mid seventies, it's come a long way.

One of the best place to visit while travelling to Germany. This place is full of adventure and beautiful view. You can enjoy here with your partner as well as with your family or kids. It has both options either you can chill with your kids or if you want a quiet place then you can also get that. My overall experience here was amazing and I enjoyed everyday during my stay. There is bus shuttle service inside Europa park by which you can travel from one place to another free of cost inside Europa park. And specially the staff over here is very friendly and polite. 😍😍😍

Fantastic place for kids and peoples still having peter pan syndrome. Going there every 2 years and always a pleasure, during Christmas is just magical. Queue length is optimized by the park management, attractions are one of the best in the world.

Europapark is without a doubt the BEST amusem*nt park in Europe! The attractions, the atmosphere, the decorations. A lot of roller coasters, it sounds amazing! You can check the park from the monorail too and eat in different kids of restaurantsYou can spend the night in one of the themed hotels. Here you can enjoy an extensive breakfast buffet in the morning. You can also eat in one of the other hotels

Aakash Christ — Google review

This has to be the best theme park I have ever visited. Amazing selection of rides for all ages. From gentle themed rides to super coasters. Definitely fun for all the family and I would even go as far as saying better than Disney land Paris. Well definitely visit again.

Ian — Google review

Definitely the best amusem*nt park that I have been to! Not just the parking area is very well organized, they’re very considerate about the queue lines. Most of the time, we didn’t have to suffer the strong sun while waiting in lines!

E H — Google review

I had the most amazing day at this Europa park, all the attractions are so cool, nicely maintained, specially do not miss the silver star and voletarium. incredible experience indeed. There is fun for every taste and every age, Food stations are everywhere with various offers. must-visit indeed!

Elene Kardava — Google review

Wow Where Do I Start. This park is amazing, it’s one of the best if not the best in the World.Arrived at 08:30 and some attractions were already open 😲, then walked on rides majority of the day and didn’t wait more than 25 minutes. Did 30 rides and left at closing time. Experienced 1 minor breakdown the whole day which saw can can coaster close for a max of about 10 minutes. They kept silver star & can can coaster open a little longer after park close so people didn’t leave without riding one last ride due to the breakdown.Operations were world class too, staff were friendly and extremely efficient. Food was good except the Food Loop which was quite expensive. Paid €15 for a burger on it’s own but it was tasty so I’ll give them that 🤣As a whole the park is extremely clean, well looked after and so well ran. Over 2 days did 55 rides and experienced shows and had time to eat and shop. Will definitely be back next year 👍Parking was also efficient. Was in and out in no time. Entering the park was just straight in. Long Opening Hours too so no need to rush and plenty of transportation attractions such as a train and 2 monorails.I recommend this park as it is PERFECT FOR EVERYONE!

ThemeParkJaden — Google review

Give yourself at least 2 days. The park is huge and there is so much to do and see. Since it was a slower season, many food places were closed or running on shorter hours, and I would have liked more regional food for the areas. All around amazing experience, and the queues were shorter than we expected given the size of the park.

John Patterson — Google review

What an awesome experience coming here in winter ❄️ I could have never imagined how beautiful the park is during that season and highly recommend coming here! ❤️🙌😍The decoration is stunning and especially during the dark daytime is can become breathtaking- too much to take in, in just one day

Peter R. Reuter — Google review

What a fantastic place to visit! Disneyland in Paris doesn’t get a look in with this place. If you want thrills and theming that really makes a difference. The park was super clean, staff extremely friendly and the efficiency of the queues was excellent. If a ride was getting a bit too busy they would add extra cars on to ease that. The virtual queue system was excellent and the shows were fantastic! Stopped at the Kronosar hotel and again what a fantastic place, rooms were spacious and everything was kept so clean and tidy. I’ll definitely return, only spent 2 nights but could have spent longer as there is so much to see and do.

Daniel Lyons — Google review

Absolutely amazing places to have fun for young and old. Very good organization of everything, parking, attraction, events and places to eat. Beautiful and pleasant atmosphere even just for a walk.

hristo topov — Google review

Very nice amusem*nt park, all of the rides were fun, short lines and excellent various food choices from all over the world. The dessert waffles were absolutely mouth watering! They were near the back of the park. Clean and safe environment. Highly recommend with or without kids! We came during October and it was a gorgeous, beautiful day out.

Amy Kory — Google review

Very impressive amusem*nt park. Read the description to discover the themes, it explains a lot.Main thing I have noticed is that every one can enjoy the park because of the diversity of amusem*nts.Clean, large choice of food, quality and thrilling attractions, this place is a must.My favorite amusem*nt is «Arthur» : beautiful fairy bubble with a detailed decoration: the roller which starts inside the bubble, above people doing other attractions, is completely gobsmacking…

Jerome G — Google review

A great theme park, the attractions are more family oriented. For adrenaline, I would recommend Energylandia in Poland. However, the park had beautiful Halloween decorations. The park has perfect shows.

Denisa Šindelářová — Google review

What an amazing place and an amazing experience.Everything is meticulously maintained, there is a huge diversity of different rides, the whole park is themed and decorated for Halloween, and the atmosphere is so pleasant.I loved how they divided the park into different countries. Everything is so easy to find.Prices of the food and beverages are decent in most places.I especially loved how they added Single Rider lines in many of the rides. Also, they do it very efficiently, so you don't have to wait for too long even if you're in a group and prefer to save some time and split on the ride. This is my second visit. I visited 7 years ago. A lot has changed for the better, even though the park was great even back then. They definitely know how to keep improving. The only thing I would suggest them to fix is the app's possibility to return to the list of rides after selecting a specific ride and pressing "return". Currently, it takes you back to the general map, and then you have to again select and filter the rides you want to see.

Natalie H — Google review

We first visited Europa Park back in 1990 before we had our children. We have visited it regularly since with our children. We have seen the park grow and really enjoy our visits. We have stayed on the campsite in one of their tepees as well as in nearby hotels and campsites.Access to the park is easy as it is well signposted. Once inside, there is plenty to see and do with lots for adults and children of all ages, and their are rides for all ages. There are shows to see, including medieval knights. The food isn't cheap but there are plenty of quiet areas to enjoy your own food or picnic. The car park is well laid out, and again is well signposted and marked. The best part about Europa Park is the atmosphere, especially on a bright summer's day. Queue times vary of course depending on what time of year and what day of the week you go, but they're not too bad. The bigger and more popular the ride the longer the queue, and there are plenty of rides and the wait is worth it.Level 9 Google reviewer with over 900 reviews, 75,000 points plus over 10,000 photos and still going strong 💪. Check out my other reviews 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟.

There’s never a bad time to go to Europa-Park!!! Last time we went during the spring, but now we went during Christmas time! The park is decorated beautifully and it’s just so magical ✨Very affordable place for a day of fun! The park hours are listed closing at an early hour, but they were open a lot past the listed closing time.Dogs are allowed and that is awesome!

Catholic cathedral

Sights & Landmarks

The Cathedral of Strasbourg is a beautiful, gothic edifice built in 1187 to 1439 with a 16th-century astronomical clock and rose window. It is considered the world's tallest building from 1647 to 1874 and still the sixth tallest church today. The walls of the cathedral keep a 1000-year history of luck and disappointment, victorious victories and unforgivable defeats.

What a wonderful cathedral!! The clock inside is really neat. I loved the nativity scenes and I'm so glad they were still up when we went in January. We climbed up the tower, which was a highlight of our entire vacation!

Spring Clark — Google review

This is a must see location if you are within 100 miles. Strasbourg the old city is just incredible for old buildings and interesting sites. The Cathedral is very impressive from the outside and the inside is just Great. The altar and the backdrop are very well done. The stained glass is amazing as well. I walked to the top of the Cathedral and highly recommend doing this if you can. Great views and interesting views of the Cathedral as you climb.

Bruce Kuhle — Google review

Very impressive building! Inside pretty dark and some part is still in renovation. The clock on the right side worth to see. I enjoyed visiting it. The most spectacular was illumination show, special lights and music at night. Wow!

Bo?ena K — Google review

Very impressive cathedral. Specially the stunning astronomical clock which is a master piece of engineering and is a must see if visiting.cathedral is very big. Inside always prayers are going on.recommend to visit at night so you can see the most spectacular music and light show projected onto the exterior of the cathedral.Infront of cathedral many shop having so many instruments and also live paintings will be going on.

Vinod M — Google review

Exceptional views, beautiful architecture, in my eyes it is a must to visit during your stay in Strasbourg. Ticket is absolutely worth it, considering the effort to climb the way up. Inside the cathedral entry is free. The size, area, mosaics made me deeply think how much time and effort it took to create and build this miracle. Miraculous❤️..

domas sem*nauskas — Google review

Absolutely beautiful! There is an amazing clock in the back right corner that does a little something every 15 minutes. It’s not amazing but it’s cute and fun to see if you’re around. The gift shop was great and some good finds for good prices. The nativity scene inside was absolutely gorgeous!

Aly McDay — Google review

This was a beautiful cathedral in a beautiful city. Had such a great time. There is a little train right outside that you can take for 8 euro that will give you a tour of the petite France area.

Sonia Naeemi — Google review

Came over from offenburg Germany. It was a short drive. It was on a French holiday so I think it was extra busy. The cathedral was very pretty. You could walk around on your own. There was no English translations quite. If you get an app on your phone you can just shine it on the signs and it'll read it in English for you. It was a recording picking on every now and then to ask us to shush. Although I don't think we were being loud, the crowd was in the church at that time.

Elizabeth Scheuer-Murphy — Google review

Behold the awe-inspiring Strasbourg Cathedral 🏰✨ A masterpiece of Gothic architecture, this iconic symbol in France stands tall with centuries of history. From its intricate facade to the panoramic views from the tower, every detail whispers tales of resilience and grandeur.

Swarnajit Chatterjee — Google review

I have seen many Gothic cathedrals. But I was amazed by the beauty and grandeur of Strasbourg Cathedral. Its size is impressive, its stained glass windows lead to ecstasy. This is a masterpiece of medieval Gothic architecture.

Виктория Зайцева — Google review

Fantastic place, great both inside and outside. Definitely one of the most beautiful cathedral where I've been. Stunning view when you see it between narrow streets.Acoustics inside also very nice.Definitely worth to visit.

Dogsla — Google review

Very impressive cathedral. It is breathtaking to look up and realize how small we are. It is a very historical cathedral and 142 m high. It is for free to go up the stairs. The view has to be amazing. Unfortunately the queue on weekends especially sundays is too long. But the city has a very nice atmosphere. I liked and enjoyed it a lot.

Sinja Merkel — Google review

The cathedral is breathtaking from every angle, with stained glass, spires, and intricate designs living every inch of the building. You won’t find yourself bored when visiting here. I waited for maybe a minute to get inside and did not have to pay. Niece inside you are free to walk around within the designated areas. If you are feeling in the mood, you can buy and light a candle in the cathedral. There is also two gift shops!

Abby — Google review

Absolutely beautiful but at the same time has to make you question the money and power of the church. It is a beautiful sight but the people could benefit in so many more ways than the enormous expense building.

David Molner — Google review

Very impressive cathedral especially the stunning astronomical clock which is a master piece of engineering and is a must see if visiting. I highly recommend visiting again at night so you can see the most spectacular music and light show projected onto the exterior of the cathedral.

Wandering Sponge — Google review

A wonderful cathedral, truly a work of art in every way. Entrance is free into the church, but a ticket of 8.5 euro to take the stairs up - which you must do, the views are spectacular {approx 300 steps up and 300 down, on a spiral staircase}. The clock at the back is a marvel to behold, from the 16th century. The church area is peaceful, take some time to sit and reflect no matter your religion.

Mini Rag — Google review

The Cathédrale Notre Dame of Strasbourg is a magnificent cathedral in Strasbourg. It's tall and carries rich architectural heritage of historic France. The outside is full of intricate sculptures and details. Inside, colorful stained glass windows light up the place when the sun is out. You can climb up to the top for amazing views of the city and the ticket costs €8. It's a must-visit if you're in Strasbourg.

Sanka Illangakoon — Google review

Ideal Christmas location. Big crowds, hard to park in the city centre, many streets are closed by police.Definitely worth visiting and enjoying the view.

Svitlana Lysytska — Google review

Wasn’t a huge fan of Strasbourg overall, but the cathedral is absolutely worthy of the trip; it is imposingly beautiful inside and out. You can see the cathedral from just about anywhere in the city and it’s still difficult to fathom the size of it once you’re upon it. It was stunning.

Museum

Specialty Museums

The Musée National de l'Automobile - Collection Schlumpf is the largest automobile collection in the world, located in Mulhouse. This grand museum showcases over 450 classic European cars, including 120 Bugattis, all tracing the history of automobiles back to their early days. The exhibition features 400 vintage, prestigious, and racing cars that will fascinate car enthusiasts as well as those with a general interest in automotive history.

Really impressive collection of cars from the beginning of the car history. If you are a fan of old cars especially Bugatti then this Museum is a must visit. They also have a small track where you can drive some classics for a fee.

Bogdan-Mircea Bodnarescu — Google review

Fantastic place! Watching it was one of the greatest experiences of my life. In a huge hall, hundreds of cars in beautiful condition. From the beginning of driving, you can find a lot of models here, looking at some of them, a frame from a movie comes to mind. We'll come back again, because it's a full-day program if someone wants to watch it more thoroughly.

Krisztina F?ldi-Czeczei — Google review

Absolutely amazing visit! The displays are superb, and I can highly recommend spending a lot time here. Sadly I was under time pressure, so rushed through parts. But will be back.I didn't get her name, but the young blonde lady at the ticket desk was incredibly friendly and helpful. A great start to the visit

Ray Chaplin — Google review

With one word - it is an extraordinary museum! If you are a car enthusiastic, or someone who is into mechanical designs and engines, you should definitely see this place. The open gallery is very well prepared for a great exhibition according to years with brief, but attention taking descriptions and stories. The collection is one of a kind with very unique and rare cars. And the idea of "Car lost in the Nature" is truly beautiful. We paid €18.00 for an adult ticket without waiting in the line on a Friday afternoon.

Özge Abanoz — Google review

A car collection like none other. It's a step back in time - and yet has one of the greatest new cars ever made on display. The classic/supercar driving at the end is a brilliant addition, too!

David Campbell — Google review

Despite not being a car enthusiast in any way, I absolutely loved this museum. There are vehicles spanning from carriages to formula 1, as well as lots of Bugattis. I would have liked to read more info about the vehicles, they only have a sort description. And more information about the founders of the collection would have been useful. I read up about them after my visit but their story could have been presented better in the museum. You can easily spend hours going round here.

Chloe Smith — Google review

This is an impressive collection of cars. There are a few fun hands-on activities as well plus a roll over simulator. There is a collection of children's pedal cars as well, which my children enjoyed. I am not a car fan by any means, but I enjoyed the museum.

Rina Scates — Google review

Jaw dropping. The sheer number and range of vehicles is amazing. Quite a privilege to see the early models, and with good descriptions. But also the other categories, through the decades, as well as top end models and racing cars.

Cotswold Graham — Google review

I don't visit museums that often, but this one is worthy of all the admiration. Great exposition, excellent descriptions for each car and really collected a huge number of exhibitsI will say right away - that allocate 2,5-3 hours to visit.I was pleasantly surprised by the presence of a restaurant on the territory and a cool event after the end (the event is held on the territory of the museum every Sunday).

Katherine Potupalo — Google review

The collection is downright fantastic. It's incredible to see that many old cars, all the way to the 1890s, all in perfect operating condition. Fun activities as well (packing a boot to the brim, manually starting an old car...).Beware of the cold, however, if you visit in winter. The exhibition hall has no heating at all anymore (due to electricity prices). I visited on a freezing day and while it was above zero indoors it wasn't a lot higher! The bar also isn't particularly remarkable and has a tendency to close early (4:30 is too late already). All in all, pick a sunny day, go early enough, and you'll have a blast!

Antonin Carré — Google review

Amazing French automobile history in live... worth of seeing definitely... I know route de vin is quite attractive to being in there however if you are in Alsace, just few hours smell this amazing historical show for cars..

K?r?ad Ko? — Google review

I’m in awe 🫢 €18 well spent the most amazing Day if you love automobiles Motorcycles etc it’s has everything from the first car to super cars trikes rally cars on a grand scale. Restaurants bars toilets all spotless. My favourite are the early motorcycles trikes .

Brian McCormack — Google review

The Musée National de l'Automobile in Mulhouse is well worth a visit for every car enthusiast. So many beautiful examples of automobiles from the very beginning of car manufacturing until the late 1970ies. Maybe the biggest collection of Bugatti in the world. Amazing! We were lucky and there were not too many people there so it was perfect to take pictures. I would like to go again. Or go to an event where the old racecards are really driven. Extraordinary!

Florian Dyck — Google review

Very nice exhibition. They have hundreds of car maybe more but you can't sit or touch. For children there is a car race for their fun in the middle. For extra you can drive a each car for additional charge. Overall nice place to visit.

Shiri Herzberg — Google review

Huge museum but seems stuck in time pre 1980. Some important early cars in here especially Bugatti and others and interestingly includes a modern day Veyron. Vast majority of the collection is very old and either early cars or from 1930s, 40s and 50s when obviously the collection was being assembled. Some really interesting cars too from micro to pedal cars, clangers like the Aston Martin Lagonda, Ferrari 512 and some fun hands-on things for kids. Very cold inside the day we visited and could have been heated. Parking outside is 2euro an hour.

David Brown — Google review

I’ve been to lots of automotive museums around Europe but this one has been my favourite up to now, if you like cars the history and development of you’ll have a good day here. I particularly liked the easy layout of the museum which means you won’t miss a thing

17chameleon — Google review

Really nice experience for people who loves carsI forgot to make a mention for the guy at the bar counter inside the museum. I never saw a guy so crazy like him. You can talk to him and he still doing his job, don't answer to you, give you his shoulders and don't care what you ask to him. I asked for a plastic bottle of water, I showed him a translation in French and he stills no answers and doing his own!!! Very very very rude!! I think it will be good to change your staff

Holiday apartment

Neighborhoods

This holiday apartment in the charming town of Little Venice is perfect for visitors looking for a bit of relaxation and beauty. The area is well-known for its historic houses, fairy tale vibe, and meandering Lauch River. The apartment has been decorated in an elegant style with all the necessary amenities to make your stay comfortable. The town itself is also very charming and offers plenty of activities to enjoy, such as exploring its colorful half-timbered houses or taking a boat ride on the river.

(Translated by Google)I used it with my family of 4. Nice view along the river, quiet and romantic place at night. The building itself is very old, but the inside has been beautifully renovated, and the electrical appliances, utensils, and tableware around the kitchen were all there, and it was very clean!I parked my car in front of the hotel and moved to a nearby parking after carrying my luggage.I think the location is great as there are markets and restaurants nearby. The owner, Madam, spoke English, and although we arrived late at around 8:30 pm, she waited for us in front of the hotel after a phone call, and we were able to receive the keys. rice field.

A "Real Eyeopener"!This compact "old town" area of Southeast Colmar is a place "not to be missed" by visitors! It gets its name due to the "historic houses" built on both sides of the small, meandering, Lauch River.... and the "fairy tale vibe". The area is wonderful to walk around-- and has cobbled streets, colourful "half-timbered" houses, and a "covered market". It can also be seen by boat. It has been awarded by TripAdvisor the esteemed "Certificate of Excellence". It is indeed well worth a visit. It is no wonder that it has been rated as one of the "top of places" to visit/things to do, while in Colmar. It will definitely add to one's memories of the visit.I hope that this Review has been helpful.

Lovely time walking around Home Little Venice there's so much more than the picturesque bridge's to see with a few lovely restaurants along the canal, and little boat trip back and forth . The neoclassical Place Stanislas is a large, impressive square in the center of the city that is home to many of the city's important sights and institutions. The square is famous for its lavish iron railings and fountains, as well as its statue of Duke Stanislaus Leszczynski.

Definitely a must visit when in that area. you can easily stay hours and look around at the gold plated astonishing buildings from centuries ago. There are Cafes to sit outside and enjoy a sunny day, the cathedral and a church in walking distance and a park to wander around. There is a parking garage near by, with really tiny spaces but def. worth while stopping there. There is also a Christmas market there so that is def. another great place to go during the Christmas season. So make sure Nancy is on your list of places to see in France

A beautiful square albeit not the most scintillating UNESCO site. Interesting history to read about and nice art museum right there.

Place Stanislas is impressive, royal, clean and friendly. It has an Austrian atmosphere with big light-colored houses in style surrounding it. Absolutely worthwhile to visit and discover other historic sceneries around Nancy

An unexpected gem. Stanislas Square is beautiful, and even better at dusk or in the dark. Lots of restaurants and bars to sit down and savour the atmosphere.

Its the most beautiful square both during day and night. It looks like some royal square. During St Nikolas Day, there are light shows and beautiful decorations. This is the best time to visit to witness these beautiful decorations here.

A majestic Place in the charming Nancy. You can revive the ostentatious that marked the French monarchy and have a glimpse of their peak.Get the tour train from there for having a nice and informative trip to the most famous spots in town.

Check out the summer night time light show! Place Stanislas continues to be a beautiful sight to see and have a coffee, lunch, or dinner in the square. But now after dark enjoy a laser light show across the buildings. Grab an ice cream before or after the show.

Peter Doty — Google review

This is definitely a must go if you are in Nancy. It is just beautiful with the old town buildings and since it's the centre of the old town, there is a 15 minute long light show every night at 10PM.

Davids Jermuss — Google review

Stanislas has a significant importance in Nancy. It was classified as the favourite monument for France in 2021 and I will tell you why from my perspective: it is historical , big that it can host a parade in december, light show in Summer and winter, 'jardin éphèmere in October' and so much more events. There are restaurants/coffes/ museums/opera around this place. You can enjoy ice cream and delicious food or just sit in the chairs for people who came to admire the place/sun or lights. In special occasions, the lights of the buildings around Stanislas change like 'pink october, ..etc'. You can also visit 'hotel de ville' and enjoy the view from above.

Famous square surrounded by beautiful buildings and four golden gates. Don't forget to have some pastis on one of the terraces and to walk through the park that can be through the gate next to restaurant Michelangelo.

Sander Hoogendoorn — Google review

Beautiful example of a large European town square. It's so grand and decorative. There are a lot of cafes and restaurants in the square which created a great atmosphere. We sat in the middle of the square in the mid afternoon and enjoyed the sun and the buzz of all of the people running around, eating and talking.I especially loved the grand, curved, fences at each of the corners. Painted opulently in black and gold.

TheBassBailey — Google review

Place Stanislas is the major landmark of Nancy and one of the most beautiful squares in France, if not even all of Europe. There is no charge to enter the square and it is lovely to stroll. Many cafés and tourist shops can be found here.A visit should take at least 20 to 30minutes and you can easily spend more time exploring the area around. It is a major tourist attraction in Eastern France and UNESCO world heritage site.

Philipp Schiwek — Google review

Loved the vibe! The great square, the gorgeous gate, cafes and people watching. Every street leading to the square has plenty of restaurant choices and interesting shops. It's a nice area to walk as well as through the park.

Morgan Johnson — Google review

If you're in Nancy, you have to come here. It is the centre of the old town, surrounded by centuries of history, great, very well-maintained buildings and part of the historic route. The gleaming golden portals leading in all directions give it a special flair.

Zoo

Outdoor Activities

The Zoo d'Amnéville is an independent animal park showcasing approximately 2,000 species from five different continents. Along with their animal exhibits, the zoo offers a distinctive medieval-style falconry show. Their Facebook page provides visitors with up-to-date information and photographs of their animals, as well as discussing general animal news. In close proximity to the zoo are 72 hotels and other accommodations that can be booked through Hotels.com for as low as /night.

We had a wonderful visit to Zoo d'Amnevelle. The zoo is stroller friendly and my toddler only needed a little help seeing into some of the exhibits. We watched the sea lion and the falcon show and both were amazing. Throughout the zoo, there are plenty of kiosks for food. The prices were a little steep, but not unreasonable for zoo food. We were able to see almost all of the animals. There were only a handful of exhibits where the animals were either hiding or currently not in there. We will be back for sure, we spent 7 hours at the zoo and felt like we barely scratched the surfaces on what we could see.

Justin O — Google review

An older facility, but very well maintained! The place is very large with an abundance of trees of all kinds. You could almost say you are walking within a forest! Start early in order to see everything and to catch all the shows, and I suggest at 10am when it opens (closes at 5 I think). There are 3 shows not to be missed, the holographic, the seals and the birds, and these i put in order from good to better to best. You do NOT want to miss the bird show! Get there early though to get.a spot in the shade, otherwise you will burn! You also have to follow the map religiously in order to see all the animals, because the paths can confuse you a bit. There are 3 locations throughout the park where you can eat either burgers or snacks. If you eat the burgers just remember that the French cook them medium to rare, so if you like them more well done, you need to ask for it. There is plenty of parking, its free and its very close to the entrance of the park. Don't expect good souvenirs from the gift shop though, that was the only let down. All in all its a great place to visit with the kids, just plan on using the whole day!!

Demosthenis Axiotis — Google review

Amazing zoo! Highly recommend it, you can find all kinds of Animals, birds and reptiles here! Our little one enjoyed a lot and so did we! It’s worthed as you can spend all day here. There are some live shows too, that leaves you awestruck! Luckily we could witness the Seal show and it was wow! Perfect for a one day outing from Luxembourg or France!

Great Zoo park to visit for a day out. We were visiting on Sunday, The parking lot is very close to the zoo. I was able to appreciate many different animals.Very impressive Gorilla enclosure. You can get some lunch in the park or enjoy coffee and ice-cream.

Martyna Nikitina — Google review

A fantascic zoo with mostly large enclosures, beautiful styled for its inhabitants and visitorsA super bird show showing of both beauty and skil of the participating birds as well as the skill of their handles.Collection of large cats and some of the smaller ones, nicely done savannah, and must see bear enclosures, one of a wolverine living together with a brown bear.A bit on the pricy side @ €33,- / adult, but with free parking and afordable hotel near.Dinks are proced as expected €2,50 for 33cl (2022) foor on the more expensive side.I would recommend a full day if you are fast, multiple days if you observe or photograph animals. Worth a few hours travel

Jeroen de Bruijn — Google review

Very nice place to visit with kids and family. Lots of restaurants inside and in the surroundings.Show of birds it's a really good surprise, worth to see the 30 min presentation - check their schedule.Gorilla was amazing, so human eyes, you can talk to their souls.Few nocturnal animals, of course, were sleeping.35min from Luxembourg and usually don't need to book in advance. Around 32 euros per person.

Fernando Velosos — Google review

Nice place to visit in your spare time. Takes more than 2 hours to see all the animals. Guide map might be confusing at times and you might need to pass through same place more than once. But overall a positive experience.

Vüqar Cəfərov — Google review

There is a very large free car park near the zoo, well organized. The zoo itself has a wonderful selection of animals to admire. We feel that a lot of emphasis is placed on the animals living in as realistic an environment as possible. The animals and the enclosures appear well cared for. The large number of species delights young and old. There is also a petting zoo and a playground for the kids. Tip: Take a picnic with you. The food could really improved and it's from our point of view overpriced.

Marcus Schuler — Google review

For being a Zoo it’s great for kids, the shows are nice and the animals are overall visible. 1 day trip well deserved. For adults it’s a little tougher depends on your view on zoos and animals in captivity… Personally feel a little sad for them and the elephants are so sad.

Iacopo Biondi — Google review

A zoo worth travelling to! I was surprised with how large the zoo was and how many animals there were to see. The zoo is designed beautifully and creates a very enjoyable environment. The animals also look very well looked after and energetic. I have visited many zoos where the animals are usually quite lethargic but the animals here certainly had personality! Thoroughly entertaining! One negative is that in the cafe area the ground was very active for mice.

Jessica Nguyen — Google review

Once my favorite zoo in France, then the old management did some "dumb" stuff and the zoo fell into decline. Under new management now it's clearly coming back from that brink, there some way to go, but it's a great day for the family and their new projects look amazing like they used to be. Very hopeful for the future.

Rutger ter Maten — Google review

It is a great Zoo! It was better when they did the Tiger Show and when they had Tiger world but still a cool zoo. I was surprised that there was no replacement Show? We saw the Sea Lion Show and it was good!

Jasmin ?nen — Google review

A nice and big Zoo, it has many sections from different continents of the world. There is a huge free parking around it. The tickets costs 35€ and not 17€ as mentioned on google maps. Overall, it was nice to visit and spend a sunny Sunday there.

Noha Afifi — Google review

Probably the best zoo I have ever been(i visited already a lot), it's not huge but its absolutelly green, like a jungle, Especially in this summer season. Many of the animals have plenty of space, and it feels super clean! :) It was an unexpected experience! I will return :)

Catholic cathedral

Sights & Landmarks

The Gothic cathedral Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Reims is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is one of the most iconic and beautiful architectural sights in all of France. The cathedral, which was built in the 13th century, features intricate stained glass windows and flying buttresses on all four sides. The cathedral is significant because it was the site of coronations for French kings from 1027 to 1825.

The cathedral is breath taking architecture and a wonder. I am trying to figure out, how could people from the past and would have appreciated the fact that this cathedral receives nowadays only or most of the time visitors? Where is faith gone? Where are the believers and Christians?

Ramata Sore — Google review

This church is stunning, the amount of detail work that’s gone into the statues which holds the record for the most figures in a church in the world is just magnificent. The glass work is eclectic and like non I’ve ever seen before, I can only imagine how it glimmers when the sun it’s the glass just right. This location is definitely the main attraction in the city and it’s definitely worth the visit.

Johan Naviel — Google review

Incredibly beautiful architecture...didn't know every French king had been crowned here. Younger yet bigger than Notre Dame in Paris. Definitely a must see.

Sarah McD — Google review

Fantastic historical site. I am notbsure how it compares to the one in Paris since no one can get in there now, but there is a lot less people and the building is very well kept. All the details in the construction are simply amazing. No ticket needed.

George Jia — Google review

The Cathedral of Notre-Dame of Reims is a masterpiece of Gothic architecture. Its stunning façade, adorned with intricate sculptures, leaves a lasting impression. Inside, the grandeur of the nave, supported by elegant columns, is awe-inspiring. The stained glass windows, renowned for their artistry, cast a kaleidoscope of colors that bathe the interior in ethereal light. The cathedral's historical significance as the site of French royal coronations adds to its allure. Despite enduring damage during World War I, meticulous restoration has preserved its magnificence. A visit to this iconic cathedral is a journey through time and a testament to human craftsmanship and devotion. It's also free to enter but has a gift shop within which supports it's funding. Highly recommended!

Sanka Illangakoon — Google review

Amazing, if you are anywhere near Reims this is a site you shouldn't miss. It's easy to access, in a wonderfully peaceful area, and is as or more stunning than many cathedrals in the country. I could have spent days hearing about the historical coronations and critical events in the history of France that occurred at this site.

Aaron Trentacosta — Google review

In love with our history, one day I had to visit the city of coronations and of course the cathedral. What a beautiful building filled with so much history, events. A magnificent construction. Huge and whose maintenance and restoration make it a beautiful monument dedicated to the Catholic religion and the coronations of our kings. A statue dedicated to Saint Joan of Arc is necessarily visible there. It's crowded but it's reasonable and then unlike some buildings of the same type, I found a great calm and a beautiful serenity all the same. To see without hesitation. For the duration of the visit everything depends on you, are you ready to read all the informative brochures? Are you a strong believer? So if you belong to one of two categories you will be the sole judge of your time. Otherwise in one hour you will have been able to observe the building.

Lo?c Digitiz — Google review

A nice church to visit while on the way to champagne country. Our tour from Paris made a brief stop here, and it made for a bit of awe and introspection. The building itself is adorned with hundreds of statues and statues holding statues. Inside, stained glass windows give everything an intentional tinge of pink and purple hues.Near the back, there are relics of saints and several extravagant chapels.

Andrew Neary — Google review

Replete with history, this cathedral has seen coronation of 34 French kings over a millenium. Beautifully designed. Weathered by age and conflict, the place retains its grace and charm.

Milind ?Joe? Joshi — Google review

The Cathedral of Reims is an architectural masterpiece! 🏰 Its stunning Gothic design and intricate details make it a must-visit in Reims. The cathedral's rich history and significance as the coronation site of French kings add to its allure. Don't forget to admire the beautiful stained glass windows and take in the grandeur of the interior. A true gem in the heart of Reims! 🌟

Elin Kristjansdottir — Google review

Amazing cathedral built in the Gothic style. Great history behind this cathedral. When visiting this Cathedral take a few minutes to sit on the benches across from the Cathedral to take in the magnificent architecture and the majestic views.Entrance is free. I spent around 45 minutes inside - walking around admiring the architecture and also taking time to sit quietly and pray. This is a must visit if you are in Paris. There are frequent trains.

Mrs. V R — Google review

A true work of art, its size and architectural details simply take your breath away. One of the most beautiful and well-maintained cathedrals in France. Both the interior with the glass painting and the exterior with the architectural details are worth it, you will give them a good part of the time to be admired. Moreover, the cathedral can be visited with a guide in French, German, English.

Sasha — Google review

Amazing place, this is maybe one of the mot beautiful cathedrals in france. Don’t miss to take time to go deep in the magic Colors of the stained glasses to feel this very special light.

Jacques Perconte — Google review

Of course I've not seen every cathedral in the world but for me one of the most beautiful churches I've ever seen. Very impressive! No fee to enter, but you can think about giving what it's worth for you or pay for a candle in memory of a loved one.

Andrea Sagawe — Google review

Impressive to see. Especially the outside is beautiful with all the details. Inside is nice to see with the glass-in-led windows. When you are in Reims this is 1 of the most impressive sights to visit.

Rolf van der Hagen — Google review

Extremely nice building especially when you see its illuminated exterior in the evening, full of statues, big arches, colored windows, the French king was crowned here during the tumultuous years of Joan of Orleans, I think it is always good to go there, sit for a while and think... do not forget to see the Statue de Jeanne d'Arc in front door...

Marek Sopko — Google review

Cathedral is a an absolute jewel of gothic architecture! If in Reims it’s definitely a must visit.Great for architectural enthusiasts as well as religious pilgrims. Mass services are frequent and easy to find out.It breathes history from medieval times, through coronations to modern post war truce meeting with German chancellor Adenauer. My personal favorite is the smiling Angel on the outer facade. As with every monument, expect renovations and parts of the interior/ exterior to be covered due to works.A highlight compared to Paris is that it’s not too busy and you marvel at peace with no too many people pushing you.

The Grand Place in Brussels is a magnificent, historic square encircled by some of the most impressive and beautiful architecture from the 1500s. The square is one of the best places in Brussels to explore for its beauty and history, with ornate buildings surrounding it displaying intricate stone-work, stunning gold decoration, baroque gables and awe-inspiring architecture. It's a must-see destination in Brussels for anyone interested in history or architecture.

2022.05.05 We visited the Grand Place multiple times. Daytime and nighttime. Lovely to see and spend some time to look and enjoy the architecture of the buildings. Incredible view and lovely. A must see when in Brussels. Many cafes and restaurants in the area especially if you want Belgian Fries, Waffles, Chocolate, Ice cream and definitely beer.

What a fascinating and remarkable place this is. Was really amazed to see the detailed work carved on all these buildings in this famous square. This palace holds a lot of history, and apart from that, I think it's a place you have to visit once in a lifetime. It is very lively, beautiful, and cultural. I love that there are a lot of people, tourists and friendly nationals. The most beautiful thing is turning around and finding a store to get chocolate 🍫 which I recommend you get from Godiva, with their history from 1926. I did visit this place hurriedly and I hope I'll have the pleasure of coming here again. Until then, aurevoir.

The Manneken Pis is a bronze sculpture of a small boy urinating in a fountain. It is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Brussels and is an embodiment of Belgian humour and rebellious spirit.

Visited this place which is one of the tourist attractions of the city. The lanes and the surrounding showcase the old golden era of Belgium and city of brussels. Lot of old building and old rides are attractive. Many statues in this area symbolic to many beliefs of the people in the country. These lanes have many restaurants too where u can enjoy waffles and other food items. U also can have horse cart ride and enjoy the street musicians there performing in front of crowd.

It’s really cute but a bit overrated. The statue is really small. I was there a few times during a day just to check the if the dress is different, but I realised that it’s one costume per day from 9am to 6pm. Close to the Grand Place, iconic place for Brussels

Paweł Berestecki — Google review

This is also a must do if you come to Brussels....but don't expect it to be huge and magnificent..... it's actually really small. Small doesn't mean unrelevant, or to be disregarded. It's like an awkwardness! This little guys is being dressed differently all the time. And the streets to to it are beautiful

Minerve — Google review

A small statue of a naked boy child pissing is kept in the famous square. Has a historical significance. The original statue is kept in the Belgium museum as it was stolen so many times. This one's a replica. And there's always a huge crowd to watch this statue. The irony is there isn't a single restroom available nearby, if you felt like pissing! There are many shops lined on the road towards the Statue from the Grand Square, you can't miss the crowds.A restaurant right next to the statue has a huge queue as well for people wanting to fine here.I loved a Lace shop exactly diagonal to the Statue. It has lovely white & Black lace objects like handkerchief, decorative items, artifacts, etc made from white Belgian lace which was once a very handy, delicate & famous Art form. I bought myself a White laced Umbrella for thirty Euros from this shop as I am a big fan of hand made articles, as I come from India.

A overrated Statue you find only because a lot of crowd is around. Few 100 meters from Grand place. A nice walk from Grand place.

I wonder why so many people gather to see this little statue of a boy pissing! It is a success of promoting a city! They prepare different clothes for the boy on special occasions and you can see its previous clothes in a museum just a fifty meters up the street from the statue. To avoid crowds, visit the statue early in the morning

The Delightful Charm of Manneken PisManneken Pis, the tiny bronze statue, is a delightful gem nestled in the heart of Brussels. Despite its modest size, the playful spirit and quirky personality of this little guy bring joy to visitors. The tradition of dressing him in various costumes adds a whimsical touch to the experience, reflecting the city's sense of humor and creativity. While it may not be a monumental landmark, Manneken Pis holds a special place in Brussels' cultural tapestry, reminding us that even the smallest things can leave a big impression.

30/04/22: having been to Brussels 4 times, it is only in the last few years that I have documented places I've visited, as a part of my Google legacy. This time in Brussels I was celebrating my Stag Do with 18 friends. Probably one of the most famous photo opportunities in the whole of Brussels. Scout Day today, hence the little wee lad was eventually dressed as a Boy Scout!

A cute little sculpture, one of Brussels’ attractions. The sculpture is really not that big so low your expectation. The surrounding area is somehow clean despite a lot of visitors. It’s an easy walk from the center.

The symbol of Brussels, a bronze figure of a naked peeing boy. Those who see it for the first time may be disappointed by its greatness. Always surrounded by crowds of tourists, Manneken Pis is often dressed up in different outfits. Around delicious Belgian snacks: waffles and fries.

Paolo Rello — Google review

From everything I’ve seen here in Belgium, Mannekin Pis sums it up. I don’t understand how this became emblematic of this city but it embodies the charm and overall fun Brussels is. It was not dressed in a costume today but there were lots of tourists taking photos. Very close to the Grand Place where you can enjoy the smells and tastes of waffles and chocolate.

The Atomium is only open to group overnight visits and there is no kids sphere available onsite.

An excellent attraction. Easy to get into, a reasonable cafe and gift shop at the entrance/exit. Lots of interesting information about the building. Exciting and interesting art installations to provide something to post online! A fabulous view from the top.The only slight issue is the queue for the lift to the top. It takes about half an hour but is well worth it. The queue to come down is much shorter.

Andy Reynolds — Google review

Extremely cool visit. Was glad to see that they managed to keep the full tour going while accommodating all the new Corona guidelines. The travelling art installation in the higher spheres had everyone stopped in their tracks as soon as they entered.

Michael Karman — Google review

A good place which is the information about its history and construction. The lift takes you directly to the uppermost sphere from where you can watch the city all around. The other spheres can be explored only after coming down. The audio visual display could have been better.

While this is a Brussels landmark it’s really rather boring. It looks impressive from the outside, but you can save your money & look at it from the outside. The interior is an observation level on the top which is only 95 meters high. I’d recommend not paying to go in. The coolest thing is at the end they have some funky lights going up and down the last escalators.

Refcon — Google review

Well restored expo monument in Brussel next to Mini Europe. Lots of available parking and next to train stop for easy access. Views will vary depending of weather but on good days you can see clearly across town. Good place for small children to visit or whole families.

Oscar Flores — Google review

Buy your ticket online and use the qr code to get in! No wait on a weekday, take some time to see the amazing view at the top!Well worth a visit and it really is cool for people with an architecture background! Highly recommended to visit once in your life!

Anton van A — Google review

A must do if you are in Brussels. What a construction piece!!!! was extremely futuristic when built prior 1960s.You better take tickets online as I forgot and could not take them on the same day and needed to stay in the cue for almost an hour. The tour takes approximately an hour , once you manage to go in. You can read about its construction, you have a nice view up there and have a light and sound show.

Minerve — Google review

This was such a pretty place especially when the sun hits it correctly. With the tour it’s 16 euros per person and 8.5 for kids. A little pricy but you can combine it with the Little Europe tickets! I definitely recommend for a good view and lovely photos! Overall a 4.5 just because the top is a little boring as you will probably only stay up there for a 10 minute experience. But the light shows and the glowing escalators made up for it and was absolutely beautiful!

My visit to the Atomium in Brussels was an absolute delight! The futuristic architecture of this iconic landmark left me in awe. It's a must-visit attraction that truly stands out in the city's skyline.I highly recommend experiencing the light exhibition while at the Atomium. The dazzling display added a whole new dimension to the visit and made the entire experience even more memorable. It was a fantastic way to appreciate the structure in a different light, quite literally!Booking the tickets online was a smart decision, as it helped me avoid the long lineup and save valuable time. With the place being busy, it's definitely a tip worth following to make the most of your visit. One of the highlights for me was discovering the lovely picnic spots around the Atomium. The picturesque surroundings provided a perfect setting to relax, enjoy some delicious snacks, and take in the beautiful views. All in all, the Atomium is a must-see attraction in Brussels, and the light exhibition is a great way to enhance the experience. Whether you're a history buff or simply looking to admire stunning architecture, this place won't disappoint. Plan ahead, get your tickets online, and don't forget to bring some snacks for a delightful picnic experience!

damanpreet singh — Google review

It's a nice place but it's out of the way from most tourist attractions.I tried taking the tram but there was some type of service interruption and the tram was stopped earlier. I had to pay $30 for an Uber each way. Plus the tickets are $16 each for something that's not even a real museum.

Ruth — Google review

Really great to see it from the outside and it's pretty cool when you're up there. Also a good photo opportunity. Although the price of the tickets doesn't justify it unless you understand and appreciate the history and architecture and spend the time reading everything on the tour.

James Owen — Google review

Was genuinely a great experience. Loved the vivid light show as well, definitely a pleasant surprise. Interesting and informative exhibits.Free ticket to the design museum included in ticket price.

Jennifer George — Google review

Great location. Nice park for small picnic with family and kids. Ample parking available at site. Walk and bike riding dedicated spaces available.Day well spent given weather is ideal.

Bilal Mirza — Google review

It's amazing! A real work of art, engineering and architecture. I've passed by it a couple of times over the past few years and I've always been amazed by it, but, unfortunately, I never got the chance to visit inside. Finally, this summer I chose to tick it off from the bucket list and I'm so glad I did it! First of all, approaching the park and seeing the Atomium from afar leaves you speechless because it's something you can't find anywhere else. The exhibition at the lower levels shows the whole history and construction process of the building it's so interesting and enriched by photos, documents and flyers from the '50s. Seeing the initial designs and then what it turned up to be, proves that the human mind is capable of grand things! The ID#2021 - Symbol exhibition is a full immersion in sound & light. Simply mind-blowing.Going from one sphere to the other is exciting and getting to the upper sphere and enjoy the panorama is really great. If you happen to be in Brussels, you definitely have to reserve a couple of hours to fully enjoy the Atomium!

Fabiola Falsetti — Google review

There are two parts of a visit. First, you take the staircase to levels and enjoy light shows with music. Second, come back downstairs and queue for the elevator. The elevator takes you to watch tower part where one can have higher look at view. Tickets can be purchased in the entrance (with combination of Mini Europe optionally).

E. Gedik — Google review

The Atomium in Brussels is often praised for its unique and futuristic design, offering panoramic views of the city from its observation decks. Visitors appreciate the historical significance of this iconic building from the 1958 World Expo. Its interconnected spheres provide an interesting museum experience with exhibits about the Expo and the structure itself. Overall, it's considered a must-see attraction in Brussels.

Siddhiraj Khamkar — Google review

Highly recommend going early as it can get quite busy.Beautiful building from the world fair. It's a fantastic experience, the panoramic view at the top isn't all that great since there isn't much buildings around. However the exhibitions are quite interesting and fascinating as it takes you through the history of the world fair and the construction of the building itself. Also there are some nice light shows in some parts of the exhibition.Keep in mind that you will have to use stairs in some parts of the building.

Hashim Fakhreddin — Google review

Loved the attraction, very interesting building. Good views from the globe's. Easy to get to from the city. Bad points were: huge queue to get a ticket to get in. Also the internal queue once your in for the lift was taking almost 1hr (so we didn't bother with the lift to the highest point).

Andrew Chatterton — Google review

Very nice place, with panoramic views of the city. You have to queue for 10-15 min to take the elevator and go up, I recommend taking tickets online to avoid the queue for the ticket too.Arrived at the top, games of lights accompanied the visit.Recommended as a monument symbol of the city a bit 'far from the center but easily accessible.

Antonio Cosmai — Google review

I was not sure about this place and almost missed it, but finally decided to visit it - I’m very happy that I did it, it’s great. The construction is impressive, very photogenic. View from the top is great, the whole city is visible. I really like the light exhibition inside, almost psychotic (in a positive manner). If you are not sure if you should to see it, the answer is yes, you should.

Paweł Berestecki — Google review

An amazing piece of architecture that harkens back to a time where anything felt possible in Europe. Built in the 1950s, The Atomium feels as futuristic now as I imagine it did back then. The queue was roughly an hour, but it was a busy weekend so I guess that is to be expected. Although the queue was large, it never felt busy or packed once we were inside. The restaurant at the top was fantastic, I would recommend a traditional Belgium beer and a traditional Belgian waffle if you don’t want to break the bank too much. The views were spectacular. The light show inside one of the “balls” was phenomenal. A technological marvel only triumphed by the marvel of the “building” itself. The Worlds Fair museum in another of the “balls” was fascinating. Why don’t we have a Worlds Fair anymore?!This is a must for anyone visiting Brussels!

Pairi Daiza is a 65-hectare park located on the grounds of a former Cistercian Abbey that houses over 5000 animals, including lions, pandas, koalas, gorillas and lemurs. The zoo features geographically themed areas inspired by various regions around the world. Visitors can explore recreated African stilt villages, East Asian temples and the largest Chinese garden in Europe.

Its a wonderful place, we enjoyed every minute in the zoo. Everything is tight and in order, nice restaurants and the most important thing, the animals look great and well maintained. My boys were excited to see pandas, wolves, bears, lions, giraffes, tigers and many more wonderful animals.

Florin Basescu — Google review

This is one of the most beautiful zoos in the World. We actually stayed here with the polar bears for a couple of nights and it was simply breathtaking. I have to say that for me the best part was the bats. It was simply amazing to be in there with them while they flew near you in all directions; this was superb. Plan on being here for at least a couple of days, there is so much to see and you don’t want to miss any of it. It took us two days to see everything and then spent the third day seeing all the things we loved the most. The park is simply beautiful and very clean. All the animals look happy and they have plenty of room to roam around. I can say that the food prices are a bit steep for what it is so maybe a great choice to bring your own lunch. There are plenty of areas around the zoo to have lunch. We signed the kids up to feed the elephants and this was a cool experience for them. Overall highly recommend, beautiful place.

The park is amazing ! And continuously improving !Spent the night for the second time this year 😊 The first experience was so great we had to come back (and will come again) !Staying in a lodge is expensive but totally worth it, because you can enjoy the park later at night and earlier in the morning, when the one-day visitors have left 🤩 The park gets calm and the animals start their night life, always a pleasure to observe 😌Eating in the park is more than what you'd expect, some restaurants even offer more sophisticated menus, but comfort food can be found almost everywhere 😋 Don't forget location influences prices 😅The whole park is a must-see ! But still try and plan your visits with the feeding schedule, that way observing animals is more entertaining! This can be done very easily, using the paper map given upon entrance or the app, both free-of-charge 😊I strongly recommend visiting this zoological park, note that it has received multiple times the title of "Best Zoo of Europe" 🥇

Lucas Claessens — Google review

This animal park is huge it has different worlds it has 7000 animals. We visited during Halloween there was spooky atmosphere staff in masks, music and other events, 3D light projections. You can spend a whole day and won't see everything. We had seasonal tickets for one year. Entrance is quite expensive but worth it. You can spend some time inside of the area where kids can play. There is also restaurants and many kiosks with food.

Mária Kimbrell — Google review

We stayed in the birds eye view tiger room and loved it! The tigers were so fun to watch! We also loved walking around the zoo. The polar bears were another favorite, they were so cute!!

Alisha Bell — Google review

Love this place.Yearly passes have also made life easier as we don’t try to do as much as possible in a day but take the time to relax and enjoy with the kids! Activities around St Nick were also fun and Christmas lights are a big hit too.

Though pricy, definitely one of if not the biggest and most aesthetically pleasing zoos I have visited. The enclosures are large, varied and well-maintained, and the animals seem to be well-taken care of. I will note that there is so much to see that you simply cannot fully experience everything in just a single day. Then again, I would very much consider another visit.

Maxim Broux — Google review

It has been one of the best zoos I have seen if not the best. Definitely worth a visit. It has incredible themes built around the zoo it's not only paintings it is buildings and beautiful gardens. I was visiting the zoo in December and was impressed I can only imagine how it would look more spectacular in the spring and summertime.

Alexander Planck J?rgensen — Google review

Beautiful park. And I highly recommend staying there. You need two days to cover it all! Snack food in the park is very overpriced, but you are allowed to bring your own food into the park, so next time I will just be bringing more. Overall, great experience and highly recommend.

it offers a memorable experience. From majestic pandas to exotic birds, the variety of animals is astounding. The lush, well-maintained enclosures mimic natural habitats, ensuring animal well-being. The park's architecture and gardens are amazing, complementing the animal exhibits. Dining options and engaging shows make it a full-day adventure. A delightful family outing, Pairi Daiza brings conservation and education to life.

Nice and beautiful zoo and park. Many places for picnic, food corners, for chilling. And pandas 😍Parking costs 10 euro per day and a lot of space for parking. Tip: animals more active after 15:00. Before, most of them were sleeping. Most of all we liked Chinese area, very beautiful 👍Have a great time, guys 😉

Julia Kolot — Google review

Best zoo in Belgium, you can observe lots of animals in a close distance. For many of them , especially the big ones like elephants or gorillas, they have very huge place to live in. The train is one thing you can’t miss, on the train you can take a good look to the elephants domain, witch what is hard to visit by foot. The whole zoo is base on a old monastery “Cambron” and it’s beautiful. The beer “Cambron” blonde, I like it very much also.

?? — Google review

Most probably the best zoo experience. I can imagine that all zoos should be like this - proper zones for animals, and good conditions. This place is probably the closest you will get short of a full safari. Great experience for kids. All places are built to be easily visited by kids, most areas are accessible with strollers. I recommend a full day. There is enough parking for everyone. Be sure to pay for the parking when buying your entrance.

Daniel Portik — Google review

A park is not cheap. But worth it!!! Giant! You have to come for a long time to have time to walk around and see all the animals. There are original animals that are not found in other zoos in Belgium. The guest rooms are amazing!! Worth every euro. the stay the cleanliness. And value for money.

Pairi Daiza covers an expansive area of approximately 140 acres, making it one of the largest zoos in Europe. The park is divided into different themed areas, each representing a specific region or habitat, such as the African Savannah, Indonesian Archipelago, and Kingdom of Ganesha. The zoo places an emphasis on providing spacious and natural habitats for the animals, allowing them to thrive in environments that closely resemble their natural habitats. Alongside the animal exhibits, Pairi Daiza features stunning botanical gardens with a vast collection of plants and flowers. The gardens are beautifully landscaped, showcasing various themed areas like the Japanese Garden, Chinese Garden, and Rose Garden. Visitors can enjoy leisurely walks, admire the colorful displays, and experience a tranquil atmosphere. These include ancient buildings, temples, pagodas, and other structures imported from different countries, creating an immersive experience reminiscent of a journey around there . The zoo is committed to the protection and preservation of endangered species, supporting various breeding programs and conservation projects worldwide. Additionally, educational activities and interactive exhibits are available to inform visitors about wildlife conservation and environmental awareness. Apart from the animals and gardens, Pairi Daiza offers additional attractions such as bird shows, sea lion presentations, and various themed experiences. Visitors can also enjoy dining options, souvenir shops, and accommodations within the park.

Great zoo! My first time visiting a zoo of this size, it took us a whole day to see each animal, amazing place, well kept and clean. All the animals looked happy and healthy. Would love to come back again soon!

Catherine Griffiths — Google review

Definitely one of the most beautiful zoos you can visit. The entrance feels like Disneyland & throughout the whole park there are amazing buildings and landscapes. Animal enclosures are integrated in their surroundings. The park has restaurants and there are places to sit everywhere.Besides having pandas! the park has a very nice selection of animals. White tigers, beautiful birds, elephants, rhinos, etc.The park app has a map which makes it very easy to locate everything you need. Sadly it only seems to be in French but it could be I missed a setting somewhere. This is not a cheap outing: entrance, food, merchandise, etc all cost a fair amount of money. Bringing some drinks and sandwiches is not a bad idea. However you can easily spend the whole day here if you want to see & do everything. In my opinion, it's well worth the money considering how lovely this zoo is.

Ghent City Hall is a remarkable historical landmark located in Belgium, boasting striking architecture with two distinct styles: ornate Gothic and plainer Renaissance. The area surrounding the City Hall is pedestrianized, giving visitors the feeling of time travel to the past. There are many stunning historic buildings in the vicinity and few tourists around, making it an idyllic location for those seeking quietude. The guided tours offer a comprehensive insight into this magnificent structure's history and design.

Wonderful location and surroundings at night. Feels like time travel into the past, with historic buildings in the area, no cars due to the pedestrian zone, and only a few tourists around. I couldn’t imagine Gent being so beautiful, but the City Hall is definitely one of the landmarks.

Sights & Landmarks

Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte is a stunning 17th-century chateau surrounded by formal gardens, offering a remarkable blend of architecture and natural beauty. The interior is steeped in history, with well-preserved decor elements that transport visitors to the XVIII century. The audio guide provides an engaging tour, complementing the overall experience. A highlight is the impressive kitchen, adding to the chateau's allure. Visitors can also enjoy dining at the on-site restaurant and bar area.

Beautiful and well maintained chateau. The building architecture really amazing. This chateau inspired King Louis XIV built Versailles. Have been here very long time ago.

Beautiful castle though quite pricey. Well cared for and a well done audio guide in the price included.Impressive and important in history. A nice visit. Our daughter of 6 even enjoyed it. The food in the self service restaurant at the beginning is a recommendation! There is much to see and discover. If your kids want to dress up, they need to be at the dress room between 12 and 14.

Tess L?wenhardt — Google review

There is a lot of decor elements in very good condition. The interior light also creats a magic atmosphere of XVIII century. The audio guide is a good accompaniment to the visit and it's not boring at all. However the most impressive part is a kitchen of the chateau. There is also restaurant and bar zone on the chateau area. Highly recommended to plan your visit for candles night pick nick during summer time.

Exceptional jewel to understand Versailles. The parc and the castle are very well organised with golf car and live animations in the cellar. A must see by good weather

David Coska — Google review

Many people think this is the most beautiful chateau in France. There ia a parking just in the front gardens close at 7 pm but the last access to the chateau is at 4:45. We arrived at 4:30 and it was just for us nobody was there the parking was empty and only a small group of people in the castle. Highly recommended.

Hansei Kai — Google review

Very pretty, the gardens are exceptional, unfortunately it was very hot during my visit so I didn't have a chance to view all of them. The house has excellent architecture, I would love to visit again.

Ritchy P — Google review

How there are not more visitors at this chateau is completely beyond me, it is unquestionably superior to so many of the larger chateaus that receive more visitors. It is such a marvel of architecture and the way it compliments the gardens is perfection. The inside of the house is full of history with a good tour.A walk to the Hercules statue is an absolute must and not too far. The view from the statue down over the chateau is incredible and really gives perspective. The little kiosk outside does lovely crepes as well!

Olivia — Google review

Great bit of history. The chateau is more raw than Versailles, which makes it quite interesting l. Being a good drive out of Paris, there are fewer people. Be sure to stay for the light/projection show at dark. We had a great day out.

Bret Marty — Google review

A visit well spent! It's amazing to the castle that inspired Versailles and I loved all the Christmas decorations with the animatronics. I'd love to come back when there's warmer weather and to see the Christmas lights at night. Highly recommend!!!

Chloe J — Google review

Simply the most magical and magnificent historic moment in all of France... possibly all of Europe. Better than Versailles. Go go go see it. You won't be disappointed. It was an honor just to go. Plan to spend an entire day. Clean bathroom and great food as well. Cart rentals to see the grounds are available and worth the small fee.

Christopher S. Dailey — Google review

Better than Versailles in my opinion. Gorgeous, very well cared for, the staff are pleasant, and the audio tour is a theatricality done history which is quite well executed. Also, way less crowded than Versailles and other places. A reasonably priced cafe and you could actually have a picnic. Highly recommend! I've spent a lot of time in France and it gets my top recommendation.

Beautiful house with a fascinating but sad history. A lot of passion went into planning this house and gardens. We spent an extra 5 euros to go up to the dome where we could look out. I recommend this if you are agile. The spiral staircase to the top is narrow. My mom is 85 and she did it, though. Spectacular views at the top.

First of all this is a really great park, I visited twice and every time it is like a dream come true. Excellent decorations, extraordinary and fast rides, literally one of the best places on earth no joke. Anyone can find something in this park that will blow their mind and be their thing. Anything in there is possible. Now the part that I am very unfortunate to write about, since my first visit there, something huge happened. They cancelled the fast-pass. To those who don't know it's a free way of "scheduling" yourself on a later hour so you can enter within 10 MAX. What they did instead is crazy (understandable because of financial reasons), you can pay 8€ per ride in order to get in quickly OR pay 1 7 0 € for a fast pass in multiple rides, that's wrong! So what? Now I can enjoy the park fully by paying almost twice the price of a ticket! Queues on a very normal weekday in September were between 40-70 minutes per ride, imagine wasting 4 hours just on standing! A not so financially stable family that would dream about coming here would waste a third of the day of a very expensive ticket on standing???Well, I guess that is what helps Disneyland financially but that's devastating. I enjoyed it anyway and recommend you to visit and experience a one in a lifetime experience.

Tim B — Google review

Fantastic experience, except restaurants and toilets are very bad and dirty. Parc is so clean, very impressive.Lots of guests and queues, but opportunity to buy fast track will make you skip the lines.Brings lots of snacks for the queues, if you have small kids. You can bring your own lunch and soft drinks to save money, there are benches where you can enjoy your brought food. And believe me the food there isn’t good at all so bring something with you like grab and go.Download the Disneyland app to have a map on your phone, where you can easily filter, whether you are looking for a toilet, a show or restaurant. In the Disney app you can also see waiting times, so it isn’t necessary to download the waiting time app. I recommend that you do research in advance, so you have an idea of what you would like to see. For instance there was 90 min waiting for having a picture with a princess. If you only have one day, I read that you should go for the Disneyland park. But I see why, they recommend that you use several days, as you spend a lot of time standing in lines.

The colorful parades and shows make your eyes sparkle, and meeting your favorite Disney characters is like a dream come true. The park is big and beautiful, with lots of places to explore, like castles and fairy tale lands. The food is yummy, with treats that look like they came from a storybook. It is not just a park, it's a place where happy memories are made.

7th trip to Disney Paris, and I still love it. ❤️ The park is so beautiful well maintained the staff work tirelessly to keep it so tidy. Our favourite time to visit is November with the Christmas decorations, but this January trip was dry clear and beautiful. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The meal we had at the ratatouille restaurant was wonderful. I honestly can't find and fault. There was some rides down for maintenance but to be expected in the quiet season. We will be back!

We visited here on New years Eve. For a family experience, i would highly recommend it. However, it's not without its drawbacks.Firstly, it is a hell of a lot of walking when here from open to close. There is a lot of standing for queues, so make sure to have comfy clothes and shoes on. It can be cold in winter months, so bring a coat that you can easily remove if you get too hit in a queue.Make sure to prepare for paying a lot for food or sneak your own in. They do tell you no picnics allowed in side the park. But it is easy to stash sandwiches in.People queue up for events hours early, so either be prepared to do the same or get a bad spot for them, i.e. parades, fireworks, and so on.Rides are not adult centric, so there is not a big adrenaline boost from this park. The park is not for that, really it's for the kids. They will love the experience, and two of the coasters are great fun, thunderloop, and hyperspace.Parking is easy enough, costs a pretty penny, though. The fireworks show was fantastic, as was the new years ones too.Have a great time if you do go!

Mehhh….For starters what I can say is, the lines were extremely disorganized when it came to entering the park. We purchased a one day ticket and boy I felt like it was their first day doing this. Anyway once inside it was beautiful and “magical.” The employees were not so polite and felt like they just wanted to do their job and go home. The app was such a huge help and I also paid for a few rides premier access. (So completely worth skipping the lines to some rides.) The parades were very cool and I think that was my kids favorite thing at Disney. Be prepared to pick a spot at least an hour ahead to get a good view, as people start lining the street very early prior to the parades. If you forget your portable charging box (as I did) they have a charging room by the buzz light year ride. It’s actually inside of the location where the buzz light year restaurant is.We brought a few snacks and drinks in our backpacks, but I also purchased several meals and desserts. I personally felt like the food wasn’t that expensive and was edible especially when you have been walking around the park all day. Amazing food, no, good food for hungry people, yes.Overall I can cross this off my list and say we visited. Would I return again, absolutely not.

Despite it being very busy, I had such an amazing experience. Every cast member I interacted with was delightful. Everybody seems so happy to be there. We went on Monday and Tuesday (no holiday) and queues varied from 20-50 minutes, which was quite alright. Even if you're not doing rides, the park is great to walk around in. There's always something to see and you're really never bored.I had some very bad interactions with guests, they can be quite inconsiderate and rude at times. But that is of course not the park's fault. Be prepared to encounter some selfish people though 😅Prices were high, as was to be expected. But I must say that some things were strangely priced. I purchased a medium sized plush for €26 when there were minis retailing for €20, to give an example. The food was surprisingly good! Nothing to write home about, but I didn't expect this great quality.I was very sad to return home and I'm already considering booking my next trip!

Went there a few Christmas’ ago but always forgot to post my review. What can I say other than, I absolutely love this place. Everything is magical, everything is beautiful! We took fast pass cards and slept at one of the hotels there, everything went perfectly and smoothly.I came back a few times after that and everything still is as magical and amazing.

We had booked a 2-day ticket for both parks in advance, then spent a full day at Disneyland and a full day at Studios. Beautiful and quite exhausting. Good preparation is important - snacks, water, comfortable shoes and sunscreen. Plan your time wisely, it can gey very exhausting. Food and drinks are available in small snack bars or restaurants (don't forget to make reservations), prices for them are quite high. There are a lot of stores with souvenirs, so plan a little extra money.Queues at the rides can be very long, sometimes up to and over an hour. We occasionally bought the paid Premier Access to skip waiting time. A quick option can also be the Single Ride entrance, you don't sit next to your partner, but you don't have to wait in line as long. After 9 p.m., the queues get much shorter. If you don't necessarily want to watch the fireworks every night (or are satisfied with back rows), it's the best option to wait in line only for a short time.Make nice memories and have fun!

Disneyland Paris is a magical wonderland that exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I walked through its iconic gates, I was transported to a world of enchantment and joy.The attention to detail throughout the park is truly remarkable. Whether it's the dazzling Cinderella Castle or the whimsical Main Street, USA, every corner of Disneyland Paris is a visual feast. The park's cleanliness and well-maintained grounds add to the overall charm. Now, let's talk about the attractions – they are nothing short of spectacular. From thrilling rides like Space Mountain to beloved classics like It's a Small World, there's something for everyone. The quality and creativity behind each experience are evident, and it's easy to see why Disneyland Paris is a top-tier theme park. The staff at Disneyland Paris are the real magic-makers. They are friendly, helpful, and genuinely committed to creating memorable experiences. Whether you're interacting with characters, asking for directions, or dining at one of the park's restaurants, the staff's dedication shines through.Disneyland Paris isn't just for kids; it's a place where people of all ages can relive their favorite Disney moments and create new memories. It's a world where dreams come true, and I can't recommend it enough. If you're considering a visit, prepare to be enchanted and amazed at Disneyland Paris – it's a journey you won't want to end!

The best place for family adventure! It is our second visit of this amazing park. In my opinion it is better to take your kids about 5 years, so you can fully ride on the best attractions in the park and get high emotions of being together with your kids. In the end of September it was really comfort weather, but so crowded. So for the future it is better to buy priority access at least on several attractions. All staff work on a high level, they are really doing their job great!Absolutely we'll be back in future!

This place is amazing! I really enjoyed it, although I'm an adult. It brings all my childhood memories back! One day is certainly not enough to discover the whole park! I recommend at least 2 days tickets, especially with smaller children. The queue could be very long at some attractions, but it worths every penny! The whole place is magical! 🥰😍

Brilliant trip! Two adults and two kids (3 yo & 6 yo). Prepare to wait an hour or more for popular rides. Characters don't walk around like they used to. They had session times they entered for photos. Mickey Mouse was 90 mins at one point.Xmas is magical there and the parade is not to be missed. Just wrap up warm. Expect to burn a hole in your pocket.Toad in the hole did fish and chips. Very good food for the price and pretty good service as well. Certainly need two days for one park - one day to queue for the rides and another go walk around it all.Must do - it's a small world and Peter Pans flight.

Had an absolute blast with my Family.Key rides were absolutely amazing, especially when you are travelling with an Autistic child... They really were very helpful and understanding. The only disappointment was the merchandise shops..Gutted as I wanted to buy my daughter something special for her birthday, she wasn't thrilled either by the selection.Walt Disney area was great and so was Disney Park... Not cheap but really enjoyed ourselves

Huge place. Impressive rides but lots and lots of people, even on an off day. So be Prepared to wait in lines and such. Can get some premium passes if you want to skip them. But the rides are amazing. The setup is spectacular!

First time I’ve been to a Disney theme park and I was thoroughly impressed. The park is kept meticulously clean and the build quality of the rides and theme park is the highest I’ve ever seen.We paid for the VIP tour and our tour guide Virginie was amazing. She managed to cram in many rides and shows for us in the one day. She was also able to book a restaurant reservation for us despite it showing as fully booked on the website. I highly recommend the premier pass or vip tour because the lines are really long. The park is crowded but manageable. Most of the park is suitable for young kids. They have a lot of family friendly rides. They don’t have as many rides for adults. The park is very stroller friendly with many ramps for use.

So far we've been to 3 different Disney Parks and this is our second favorite! The design of the park in some ways is way prettier than the park's in the U.S.They have two options of pre-paid fast passes if you'd like. It's pretty easy to get to from Paris.Tips:*Make sure to check out the Dragon under the castle 😉*Food: If you didn't know - Disney parks are expensive! Yes, Even the food. a tiny pizza, salad, drink and ice cream cost 16€ The food in the park disappointed us. In the US, food is a big part of the Disney experience. I read online that they have Dole Whip, but they don't. We looked! We were very frustrated since no one warned us that even though the park closes at 11:00 p.m., the stores and kiosks with food and snacks close at 20:00-21:00!!!! We found ourselves looking for food. It was very upsetting.

Very nice place . Kids and adults will love it.Very big waiting times for popular attraction 30-40 minutes so you need more than one day to visit Disney park . I recommend using the app to check waiting time before going to an attraction and also to find it faster . Lot’s of restaurants and shops so you will find everything you need .

Disneyland Paris is truly a magical destination that exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we entered the park, we were transported to a world of enchantment and wonder. The attention to detail in every aspect, from the stunningly designed attractions to the friendly and accommodating staff, was outstanding. The parades and shows were nothing short of spectacular, leaving us with unforgettable memories. The food options were diverse and delicious, catering to every taste. What sets Disneyland Paris apart is its ability to make everyone, young and old, feel like a kid again. It's a place where dreams come true, and we can't wait to return.

Disneyland is a magical Place, it transmit excitement and happiness to both children and adults. You can visit it whenever, although I have to admit, it’s a bit better during the summer season when days are a bit sunnier and you can stay for longer (closing time 11 pm). There are a few queues, for both the entrance and the games. Just have patience and enjoy the cool scenes that are all over the park. Waiting time for games can go from 5 minutes to 1 hour, you can either check the app to see what games have the least waiting time, or you can get the pass that let’s you skip the line (the ticket is way more expensive). We only stayed for one day and I believe it’s enough to visit the park. There are lots restaurants and souvenirs shops. You can even buy a pop corn basket, which you can refill at the pop corn stands. Most of the games are very chill and for children, but there are a few that are fun and thrilling. If you are staying in Paris, there is a train from Gare the Lyon that takes you exactly at the entrance of the park. Overall I recommend at all ages. Children have fun and we adults enjoy the feeling of being children again, at least for one day :).

Water & Amusem*nt Parks

Parc Walt Disney Studios is one of the two theme parks that make up Disneyland Paris, featuring areas dedicated to movie and TV related attractions. It may not be as large as the main park, however it offers rides more suitable for younger children such as the popular Cars ride. The Hollywood Tower and Ratatouille are considered to be two of the main attractions in this park, which boasts a beautiful setting and aims to create an atmosphere reminiscent of Walt Disney's production studios.

Not as big as the main park but I found this to be better for my 2 year old as the rides were more to his liking and he really enjoyed the Cars ride, he had to go on it countless times. Unfortunately the section where they did the stunt show wasn’t open which was a shame as my son would have loved that show but he enjoyed it nonetheless.

This is not my first amusem*nt park and I have something to compare. If we consider that this park is 30 years old, then a lot can be done indulgence. Compared to Disney World in Orlando, this Disneyland in Paris is nowhere near. There are a lot of old attractions, with old chairs, against which the head beats very hard during the attraction. I think that for children under 10-12 years old it can still be interesting. The attraction Flight to the Moon, converted into Star Wars, looks unconvincing and ridiculous. We visited 2 parks here. Here are the attractions that are definitely worth a visit: Hotel Hollywood, Ratatouille, Cars, Star Tour, Pirates, RC Racer, Riverboat, Parachute drop.Convenient location, right next to the metro station. There are fountains with drinking water in the park.Park security is good. We had a Swiss folding knife with us, which was not allowed at the entrance. We left it in the luggage room at the metro station.

It was great to re-live my childhood while being here. What astonished me was attention to detail and absolute perfection in terms of atmosphere. Few rides broke down, which is understandable. I had only one problem with the park, and it's a big one: despite the astounding atmosphere, I was quickly and often disillusioned by cash-grab attempts at every turn. Official merchandise is ridiculously expensive to a point where I wouldn't even consider buying anything. Queues at every ride kept reminding me that this is the punishment for not paying an additional 200€ for Premier pass. I would have definitely left more money in the park if everything wasn't so ridiculously expensive.

Mateusz Włuka — Google review

It is not the main park but in my opinion it contains two of the main attractions of Disneyland Paris, the Hollywood Tower and the Ratatouille. The park is very beautiful and the atmosphere it intends to create is that we are in the Walt Disney Studios. You can easily visit in the morning and in the afternoon go to the main park.

Very nice experience.I suggest to buy the fast line pass. Because the lines and amount of people are huge. You can only enjoy 4 or 5 of the games because of the crouds. The least game to wait for without the pass is 60 minutes to 70 minutes. I regret not having the pass.

Not everything is "perfect" but what is?A lot of thoughts on details and very friendly staff through and through.Great for all little guests and Disney fans. Great short weekend getaway!! A couple of things:1. You must buy your tickets in advance2. It’s not too big and not too small3. Disneyland Paris has their own champagne and it is a must try for all adults!!!4. Wear good walking shoes because you’ll be walking a ton!5. The food and snacks are a must try treat6. It’s mostly in French (for people that are curious) very little things have other language optionsOne of the happiest places on earth!!!

It was a great experience to visit the Disney studio... It is not that big like a disneyland Park but certainly it has a different things in here theatre experience and rides some and also there are plenty of shops cafe and also that park have marvel themed things from caption America to guardians of the galaxy so it was full of adventure and with kids they enjoy a lot..... So to spend best time you can go over there

LOVED. Definitely buy tickets in advance. I would also really recommend buying the rapid pass because I was waiting in line for so long. It is okay without it... Just make sure to have a charger with you. Also!! Bring a backpack. When you go on rides, you will have to put your belongings behind your legs so the bigger the better.

I'm a huge Disney fan and have been to both US parks multiple times, so it bothers me to not give 5 stars. The reason for withholding one is due to the size. It's a very small park and you can do everything in about a half day. Plans to add lands and expansions will help. What is there is really nice and the Avengers coaster is a lot of fun. It's a nice park, just not one you'll spend a while day at.

Belfry of Bruges is a medieval bell tower in Bruges, Belgium that is home to a 366-step staircase leading to views. The tower also features a treasure chamber and 47-belled carillon. The Belfry is master of the Bruges skyline and former regulator of town life thanks to its impressive bell collection.

It is rustic and awesome. There are lots visitors. Better buy your tickets soon to secure your place at your convenience. In addition, while using the machine to buy your tickets just scroll down and check buy otherwise you will be giving up on purchasing the tickets. That said, I enjoyed climbing the 366 steps of the tour. At each level, there is a kind of rest place: view and learn something before moving up. I found that very interesting as I do not need and have to walk up at once the steps. Once, at the top, I appreciated the fact that I spent 14 euros to buy the visit. It was pleasant being in the air and to have another perspective on the city. I Enjoyed.

A UNESCO world heritage site located in the heart of the city. Absolutely stunning as it stands high in the sky. I could not stop admiring it as I stood for a long moment in the market square. Buying the tickets in advance is absolutely recommended. Unfortunately we could not enter inside because of the long waiting time, but the pictures from other visitors look really promising. Will definitely go to the top in our next visit.

Amazing landmark with a lovely view. Be aware that you have to climb all the way up as this requires significant physical effort. Book your tickets in advance in the machine at the entrance.

It’s the city centre of Brugge (a city of historic importance in Belgium). This place has wonderful 360 degree panoramic views with beautiful architecture in Bruges. This area is surrounded by coffee shops, shopping area, stores and restaurants are nearby. The center is always lively. It's a must visit area if you are in Bruges.

800 year old clock tower of Bruges with 366 steps up to the top. Well worth the ticket price for the views from the top. If you book your tickets for 20 minutes before the hour, you should make it to the top as the clock chimes. Amazing experience.

Laura Chapman — Google review

Valuable time spent well with a climb to the top. Staff were friendly and helpful. Especially the kindly spoken young lad with the 3 day growth. The walk to the top was a tight fit at times and rewards the punter with not only an amazing view but a close up demonstration of the bells at work every 15 minutes. Beautiful Bruges

Shea Wines — Google review

Magnificent specimen of architecture! You must visit the Belfry during different times of the day. At dawn, it's tranquil and you can enjoy the tower without the distractions of large crowds. At night, the lighting brings out a different side of the tower. In the afternoons, there is a lot of commercial activity in the square and you can see the square being enjoyed by the locals.See the photos and videos for views of the Belfry and its chimes being played. It is unfortunate that lots two stroke motorcycles and mopeds regularly pass through the square and disturb the peace. They are so incongruous here.

Historic bell tower in the city center of Bruges. There are about 275 steps to the top and the view from up there is worth the climb. You can have a panoramic view of the old city with canals and other churches and towers. If you have time, then I suggest that you book the tickets in advance to watch the sunset, if the weather permits.

Shivesh Karan — Google review

We paid 15 Euro to climb the 366 steps and it can be quite dizzy because of the constant spiral loop. But it didn’t take as long as we thought, nor was it as tiring as expected. There are platforms at different levels with information where you can take a respite from the climb. Beautiful view once you reach the top.

Jennifer Yeo — Google review

I had a nice time there. Excellent view from the top, but be ready for a long climb up. We did not buy tickets in advance, all were sold but luckily someone did not show so they let us in. I would advice you to buy tickets in advance, not to risk. People working there are polite and welcoming.

Marko Jovic — Google review

An amazing experience, really enjoyable. I recommend go early, we did the first session of the day as it wasn't too crowded. You do need a reasonable level of fitness to climb the 366 steps.

Mark C — Google review

Nice view from the top of it but unfortunately there is net all around so you can take good picture with the view. Booked your ticket online to climb up 300 stairs. It is interesting to see the inside and learned some history. The stairs are a bit steep but given that they control the amount of people going up per time slot it’s not too crowded.

Jamie Pink — Google review

Climbing the belfry was an amazing experience. It is not as tiring as I expected, since there are stops along the way up where one can rest. That said, the ticket price (at €14 on my visit) was a little much for a simple access to the steps with no extra features.

Fotis Aradas — Google review

A must visit if you're in Bruges...and definitely if you've seen the movie. Tickets can be bought at the time or in allocated time slots in advance online. The stairs start off reasonably wide but get very narrow the nearer you get to the top.Anyon of a reasonable fitness level will be perfectly fine but don't worry as there are a few zooms on the way up that you can stop at should you need a rest. The views from the top are stunning although there is a wire mesh covering all the openings at the top. If the bell tolls at the top it will.probably make you jump.Overall I'd say it's pretty good value for money

Historic place to see in Bruges. Lost of cafe and restaurant nearby. The centre in front of belfry is always lively. The look from the history museum of Bruges is nice, covering the centre, belfry and all around. Must visit area. Will also find the city tour van and tourists guide in front of it.

Harikrishanan Venugopal — Google review

Recommend you buy tickets online in advance, or at the vending machine at the bottom of the tower , or last instance at the entrance. There are tickets / time-slots , so they run fast (I think max 25 for every 20min)The climb is indeed manageable, as there are floors in between.

alexandra diana rus — Google review

Really enjoyed going up the Belfry, 300+ steps, but worth the price and effort to get amazing views over Antwerp. As you ascend, there are areas to rest, if needed, and learn more about the belfrys history. If you time it right, you will also see and hear the huge musical drum work as it strikes the time. The top bit is protected from birds by a black plastic mesh, but its easy to get round this for photos, by lining up your phone or camera lens to get the awesome pics! Staff were friendly and welcoming too👍

Very worthwhile to visit and to take all 366 stairs to the highest accessible point. Mind you, stairs are quite narrow and it takes a serious effort. Breathtaking view especially with clear weather, obviously. Ticket vending machine can be found in the passage that goes under/through the belfry tower building.

I enjoyed climbing up this tower. You can see Brugge 360 degrees. Also, we were up there when the bell rung. It was loud but it was very neat to see the hammer hitting the bell...If you want to go to this tower and a number other points of interests in Brugge, get the Museum package for 3 days. It is worth it.

The Belfort or Belfry is the iconic landmark in the center of Bruges. It’s a medieval bell tower built around the year 1240. We bought tickets online for a Tuesday 9:40 time slot. The booking system is super easy because it tells you how many tickets are left for each time slot, and you don’t need to book too far in advance. There weren’t too many people when we went but there were already people coming back down. There are some areas of the climb that are narrow, so just be mindful of that. It took us about 15 minutes to get to the top and when you get up there, it is so cool! You see the actual bell (beware, it’s LOUD, obviously since you’re right next to it) and you can look down on the square. Although it’s not a complete 360 view since the bell blocks some of the access, it’s still a sight to see. The whole experience from going up, taking photos at the top, coming back down took us about 45 minutes. It did start getting a bit more crowded when we were heading back down, so my recommendation is to go early.Definitely a must see if you’re in Bruges!

Theme park

Water & Amusem*nt Parks

The theme park Astérix Park is located in France and is dedicated to the stories of Asterix. It features family-friendly rides, shows, and costumed comic book characters.

Parc Astérix is one of the most famous park in France, everybody knows Astérix and Obelix The characters of the comic strip of the same name, What a pleasure to enter their universe and discover a park for young and more especially at this end-of-year period when the magic of Christmas continues with the shows, the Christmas markets, the enchanting setting and especially the end-of-day fireworks to fill our eyes even more. We were delighted and amazed at that day.

Sylvia Limea — Google review

Fairly compact park, so 4 year old can walk. Though letting people get some stroller like devices could be beneficial. Some rides do not mention height at the entrance, so check your paper map of the park to avoid waiting in line for no reason. This paper is the ONLY source of height requirements for kids accompanied by adults. I think approx 2/3 of rides can be done by persons above 1m height. 3 year old boy enjoyed all the rides. Water rides usually makes you wet in this park, except one big water rubber tire ride.Public Holiday early June had 1 hour waiting lines for the most popular ride, few had more than 20-40 minutes. You can pay extra to enter at the exit lanes. Plenty of WC, no lineups.App is in English and useful to know lineup times, everything else about this park is in French. App does not show height requirements, also web does not, except sometimes for adults.Hotel bookings give you 30 min early access to 3 rides, only 1 of these are available for persons at 1m height - none below this height.Though along a Paris toll road, you do not need to pay toll to access the park if coming from nearby onramp suggested by Google maps.

Excellent park for thrill seekers! Lots of roller-coasters and otherwise sensational rides. The Roman VS Gallois show is also a must see! The food is well priced, as are the fast pass tickets. I definitely recommend this park!!

Keely Karsenty — Google review

Brilliant and cheap alternative to Disneyland. The rides are brilliant, plenty for the under 1m children. If you go through the week you pay less when booking online. Good at the park is a decent price also but if you can take a packed lunch, it’s an extremely cheap day out. I paid €160 for 5 of us for the whole day. Be aware that it’s €20 to park in their car parks for the whole day but it’s well worth it.

Tasha Miles — Google review

Nice amusem*nt park! 🎢🎡🎠 Lots of attractions for kids and thrill seekers! Coming around Christmas was great! Queues were not too long but can imagine on a sunny day you spend most of the time waiting. The theaters and shows were great.

Alexander — Google review

Absolutely amazing, loved it so much. The best amusem*nt park I've ever been to. The rides were very fast and wild, but safe of course. Highly recommend to anyone. Its better to come by private vehicle if you can. There is no direct bus or train to the park. Usually you could take RER B and get off at the airport and find the Park Asterix bus and proceed from there. RER B was not working on the day we left, so we had to resort to taking the direct airport bus, which was packed and overflowing with people. So just keep that in mind.

Sadesh Abeysinghe — Google review

Lovely Parc for all ages. Everything is easily and quickly reachable and there are rides for all ages and for all appetites from thrill seekers to young children. The entertainment shows and excellent and give some people a welcome sit down in between bouts of rides!

wonderful experience. I just wish I could stay longer. I just didn't have enough .I want to go again .everything was entertaining. no dull moment. food was good bit pricey but affordable. rides were super fun and all the praids and show every here and there .I so love Egypt and the act and dance music was thrilling .

Maryam Bhatti — Google review

Can't believe it took me this long to visit, but normally we drive past on our way to Disneyland and then we've had our share of theme park excitement for a while. This Halloween however we made it a point to visit and try the new coaster. Both Toutatis and the park surprised, as did the hotel and Halloween celebrations. We'll definitely return.

Bjorn Van Hoeymissen — Google review

We had the best time at this Parc and hotel. Highly recommend. Great for family or thrill seekers. Exceeded our expectations. Queues midday were getting long. So recommend the fast passes in peak season.

Derek Murphy — Google review

The parc itself is ok, and would have been a 4/5 if it hadn’t been for the multiple rides that broke down (multiple times) during our visit, including one while we were on it. Parking was also a bit disorganized, with employees taking payment upon entering using a paper ticket. And even though it was very busy, at least half of the concession stands were closed, meaning long queues at the ones that were open. Compared to other parcs in Europe (Europa or Efteling), this isn’t quite up to par.

MariuS — Google review

Nice park with thrilling experiences. Not as crowed as Disney, and very recommendable if you are an Asterix fan.The only thing I would point out is that all the shows and signs are in french and there is not translation to any other language, so sometimes it is hard to understand what they are saying.Anyway, amazing experience.

Maria Cuevas Garcia — Google review

So much fun! It has the most exciting roller coaster (compared to Disneyland 👀). Prices are reasonable food wise, but you can also bring you own food. Definitely go to “Attention Menhir!” attraction, it’s a 4D movie and even though I don’t speak French it was so much fun! Will 100% come back in the future!

Edric Gomes — Google review

Lovely park with more than 40 attractions and live shows. Great for family with kids. Rides fits different ages and hight. Food and beverage are everywhere with lots of options.

Khuloud Rashed — Google review

Great roller coaster experience. I would definitely recommend to a spend a day here. You can come with your bag. Do not forget to bring bunch of water because they are charging 3.30 for water which I think is crazy. At least water price would be lower. Staff is friendly and cautious.

Parc Astérix has been on my places to visit for a very long time, and with the announcement of Touatis, their new launched coaster - I decided it was time to book that trip! After staying the night at their on-site hotel Les Quais de Lutèce (see my separate 5 star review for that) we headed on into the park for a very long day.As it was their Peur sur le Parc event when we visited, the park was open from 9am until 1am! I didn't think there would be enough to keep us entertained for that long - but I was wrong.Parc Astérix is a truly excellent theme park, it's well themed, has a fantastic selection of rides and attractions and is operated with maximum efficiency - meaning that even an extremely busy Saturday around Halloween, most wait times for major coasters didn't go over an hour. The only other park I've seen in Europe with this level of efficiency is Europa Park in Germany. There are some truly outstanding roller coasters in their lineup. Toutatis is their new for 2023 launched roller coaster, and this thing packs a punch. It's absolutely outstanding, but really comes to life in the back rows, especially at night - what a ride! OzIris is another incredible ride, and is now my favourite suspended roller coaster in the world (and I've ridden over 20 of them) - it's simply a delight to ride and the back row is incredibly intense and fun at the same time. There are plenty of other notable rides that I enjoyed, including Tonnerre 2 Zeus, a massive and relentless wooden coaster, Pegasus Express, a unique a fun family roller coaster and Trace Du Hourra, the longest bobsled roller coaster I’ve ever been on. There’s also a great selection of other rides and attractions, as well as plenty of water rides for the summer - Romus & Rapidus were some especially fun river rapids! The Halloween event Peur sur le Parc was absolutely fantastic. We stayed all day, and riding their rides in the dark was really spectacular. The park is really well decorated, and offers so many different horror mazes and attractions, and all were such high quality too. Honestly, it was one of the best days out I’ve had in a very long time.Overall, the whole park is incredible, and I would happily visit Parc Astérix over Disneyland Paris any day. They seem to really care about their park and guests, and it really shows throughout the whole experience. I look forward to seeing what they build in the future to make it even better!

Joel Pagett — Google review

I love it. The park is nicely decorated. What I like about it is that there are a lot of rollercoasters for adults and not only for kids like in Disneyland. I put 4 stars because the waiting time is way too long. 1h30 approx for each rollercoaster.

Beautiful winter day. Great park with loads of rides and play areas in a small area! Can see your favourite characters and discover some new ones.

War memorial

Sights & Landmarks

The Menin Gate is a British war memorial located in the town of Ypres, Belgium. The gate is inscribed with the names of 54,896 military personnel who have lost their lives in battle here during World War I and II. It serves as a place of remembrance for those who have died, and it is also the location of a daily Last Post ceremony.

Excellent a sobering experience to see so many names from so many continents called to war. There were pipers who marched though this evening and we listened to the last post. A truly humbling time on a beautiful sunny evening.

Andy Parsons — Google review

A wonderful memorial. Spend some time here to reflect on the men who walked through on their way to war and never returned. Be sure to catch "The Last Post" ceremony at 8:00 every evening. Be there 30 minutes early to catch a good viewing point.

Kevin Meier — Google review

Went to the last lost ceremony. What a service. A genuinely beautiful thing. It is under construction at the moment as the stone has become a bit weathered, i think. It is still a strengely beautiful place. If you're in the area...8pm every evening... get yourself there for the last post ceremony.

Craig Wood — Google review

Currently under major renovation so most of memorial under cover. Last Post at 8pm each night. Work will take a couple of years at present. Still a magical, thought-provoking place

Paula Vance — Google review

Amazing experience this. Playing of the last post. Every night at 8pm. Loads of people came to see it. Very moving experience. Something you must see in your life. Highly recommend. Would even of made a long trip to see it.

This is a WW1 memorial in Ypres, Belgium dedicated to the soldiers of British and Commonwealth whose graves are unknown. I & Family read there aloud a poem The Flanders Fields by John McCrae and we all were very moved visiting this monument and various Military Cementaries.

EllyO — Google review

Excellent. A fitting & moving monument to the soldiers & service men & women of The Great War. The daily evening service provides a few minutes to reflect & ponder the past as well as the future. The thought of so many with unknown graves is so sad. The people of Flanders & in particular Ypres to maintain such a monument & tradition is testimony to their gratitude to those who died.

Tim Griffiths — Google review

Important! The site is undergoing maintenance for all of 2023 so the gate is covered with scaffolding. The site is astounding and worth a visit if you're in the city.Every evening they pay tribute to those named here and lay wreaths to the fallen with buglers performing the last post. This tends to get very busy so be sure to arrive early.

Leon M — Google review

This is an absolute must visit along with the beautiful town of Ypres, whether a history buff or a casual visitor. Don't miss the the Last Post at the Menin Gate a ceremony that has been performed every evening since the Menin Gate memorial was opened. Plenty of accommodation and restaurants in Ypres.⁹To the memory of the fallen.Lest we forget ❤️ 🌹

gav perry — Google review

A very sobering experience. To see the 50,000+ names makes them people and not just part of a statistic. The remembrance ceremony at 20.00hrs each day is very well done, is somber, and they do ask people not to applaud.

Point and shoot pics — Google review

Such an evocative place. So, many names of those who have no known grave and from so many different nations. It is a sobering experience just to see so many names, ranks, regiments. On the right hand side (if approaching from town) and just before you go under the gate there is a slope, if you walk up there you can find the Indian and the Ghurka memorials. There is also a fabulous scale model of the Menin Gate with Braille panels for those with a visual impairment. You won't be disappointed and if in the area it is a must see monument to those who gave their tomorrow's for our today's.

Shona Floyd — Google review

I already visited the Menin Gate many times in my life and when I did yesterday 26.09.23 I found the Gate currently being restored which of course was a shame. However, I fully understand the necessity of doing so and look forward to see the Gate again in its full beauty. The Poppies wreath is to be found in front of the Gate about 50 mtrs further down the road.Lest we forget 🏵️

Pascale S. — Google review

Our generation need to remember and salute those who fought but had no future themselves. The quiet restrained experience of listening to those 3 bugles makes you feel humble in this torrid world."Give peace a chance" If only !

Michael Stewart — Google review

Was such a great atmosphere! The evening last post ceremony was incredible and something I will never ever forget. Would definitely recommend watching the ceremony as it's amazing to witness. The only reason for the 4/5 instead of 5/5 stars was because unfortunately when we visited there was scaffolding up but that can't be helped-hoping to visit again when the scaffolding is gone!

Cathedral

Sights & Landmarks

The 13th-century Notre Dame Cathedral is famous for its spire, gargoyles, and intricate Gothic architectural details. The cathedral was almost destroyed in a 2019 fire but some of the buildings that survived include the South Rose Window and archaeological crypt.

Breathtaking architecture as always. I have visited the cathedral before the fire and currently after it. It is really sad to get to see how the fire impacted it you cannot go inside anymore and all you can see is the outside of it now. Still beautiful and worth looking into it from the outsideCurrently under construction. All of our hearts broke with the tragic huge fire, but we have hope that the cathedral will be back. The plan is to restore in the 19th Century design, and at this time is is under construction. Lots of work around. Heartening to come and witness the rebirth.

MariuS — Google review

This is by far, one of the most beautiful and dazzling cathedrals I have ever visited, maybe also because of all the story behind it. The architecture is amazing and just being there is an out of this world experience. Everything gels near this spot and there are so many options for the visitors nearby to go as well.I had the opportunity to visit short before the fire in 2019 and I could see it inside and from the top too. I hope they finish restoring it sometime soon as nothing beats going inside it and seeing Paris from its top tower. So, I hope to come back soon. I recommend this visit 100% 🙌🏼

This church within the heart of Paris is an absolute must-see. Here, you'll experience amazing Gothic architecture and history. Whenever it's able to repoen, I'd urge everyone to see this in person at least once in their lives. It's truly breathtaking. Note that the pictures are from before the unfortunate fire.

Matthew — Google review

What and incredible landmark and architectural masterpiece. Got consumed by the incredible art pieces and structural magnificence. I was stunned by the sheer spectacular grandeur and genius that went into building this incredible cathedral. So much history and I’m sure millions of tourists have visited this wonderful landmark in the city. Certainly not to be missed by any travelers passing through and looking to enjoy the magnificent construction. A sad day when the building caught fire 🔥 and destroyed so much of this incredible masterpiece. So glad to have captured these images in time and history never to be seen again as destroyed in the fire.

Lord Stanley (Lifepilot) — Google review

So we just got here on Christmas Eve and this was one of the must sees for us. Well unfortunately it was closed for work. So we were not able to go inside but it was still one of the most amazing cathedrals we’ve seen. It looks from the look of the construction it is going to be even better. You can still good views of it so it is still a must stop to take a look

Team Ultimate Exposure William & Bug — Google review

A lot people of visit this place although everyone knows it’s currently being rebuilt again after the fire incident(couple of years ago). There are some really nice places around and nice restaurants around from kebabs, Indian and Middle Eastern and Turkish etc. Perfect place for lunch, snack and dinner. just across the bridge there’s famous Shakespeare and company cafe. Really busy place to be honest. I would love to spend few hours around this place. If you are using big bus then there’s a stop just across the street.

chetan shettigar — Google review

We got to see it the year before the fire. It was breathtaking and humbling. It is gorgeous and filled with knowledge and history. Ths inside is much bigger than I expected, and it's just amazing to experience the history of the building.

Tara Miller — Google review

Beautiful Parisian site to see while visiting the city. It’s currently closed for tours but the outside is open for site-seeing. It’s just beautiful. The whole place is big—a lot of art and detail to try and process. Coupled with the history of the location, it’s a lot to wrap your mind around. The area is beautiful as well. The cathedral is close to metro stations, and is built for foot traffic.ale sure to add this to your list of must-sees during your time in Paris.

Will Thompson — Google review

It is a cathedral with a breathtaking architecture. However, after the fire that broke out in April 2019, restoration work of the cathedral is still underway. Hence the visitors are not allowed to enter the cathedral yet (as of April 2022). You can get a magnificent view of the cathedral from outside, if you go on a River Seine cruise at dusk.

Himantha Alahakoon — Google review

Still beautiful despite the barriers in place. Viewing platform was busy mid week but is off centre so you’ll get a better photo from the ground anyway! Good for a quick bit of admiration! Lots of local bars and cafes

Bambam Selway — Google review

It was disappointing that 3/4 of the structure was covered/surrounded by tall metal panels that you couldn’t see through. Even though it’s burned and under construction I would have loved to see more of it. They erected a set of bleachers on the square for the public to sit and look at the front, but to see any of the rest you have to cross the Siene to see over the panels and through the scaffolding.

Lena Roberts — Google review

Historical and beautiful cathedral that is a must visit when in Paris. A lot of people outside church playing music and hanging out. The fence around the church details facts and stories of this church like when it was built and what happened the day it unfortunately caught on fire. It details all the damage it suffered and much more. Apparently the church is supposed to open again for visit in the fall of 2024. Hopefully next time I visit it will be open for tourists again.

Guillermo Rangel — Google review

Please Note the date of this review. As of today, this is still closed with the ugly wall around, the rear completely scaffolded and the viewing stage still there.I'm sure they'll do a great job in restoring this icon but for now, only recommend visiting if you have the extra time. For me, the gargoyles are everything And still a beautiful structure.Note: don't expect there to be convenient bathrooms. As you can see on the images, bathrooms are marked, but they are locked and inaccessible. Look for the free gray box rooms around the city for great free bathrooms.Enjoy!

HA R — Google review

I visited Notre Dame today. I was aware the project will not be completed until the end of 2024 but was amazed at the large viewing platform that so many went to sit to be close to a much cherished building. Even in its current state it still attracts large crowds to get a glimpse of this magnificent building

Chapel

Sights & Landmarks

The Sainte-Chapelle is a Gothic chapel located within the Palais de la Cite in Paris, France. The chapel was commissioned by King Louis IX in 1248 and contains relics of Christ's crown of thorns. The chapel is one of the earliest and most important works of Rayonnant Gothic architecture, and is known for its lightness and height as well as its finely trimmed blue vaults.

Although the church itself is smaller in scale compared to others it’s interior is still beautiful. When we arrived the line was quite long and I was thinking that it wouldn’t be worth the long wait considering it was a cold rainy day. However to my surprise the line moved quite quickly. Once we entered we could see all the beautiful stain glass windows and other decor. The souvenirs they had at the bottom were all eye catching especially the circular stain glass pieces they had available, which I had to get for myself.

Aspleny — Google review

Must visit place in Paris! It's a glorious beauty beholding the grandeur for centuries!Tickets need to be purchased online. Need to stay in line for a few minutes, after which you pass through security, then a relatively narrow staircase. Once you enter you notice that it's only a single big space but for sure you will be awestruck by it's beauty! The details on each of the stained glasses and the colors used are just amazing! There's also a video display board on the side for more information.Definitely worth a visit! You exit through the souvenir room. There's a toilet facility just outside.

Mahalakshmi Sivashankar — Google review

Beautiful, absolutely stunning stained glass! This was worth the price especially since Notre Dame is closed. You enter and go right up the spiral staircase to the main room. What detail. The doorway to a small patio has some amazingly detailed carvings. Beautiful stop!

William Case — Google review

Well worth a visit. Absolutely beautiful stained glass and atmosphere. We went to see a concert there, which was an excellent way of experiencing the church (book well in advance for this). As the church is attached to a government building account for an additional 30-60 min to get through security.

Anita A. Simonsen — Google review

Breathtaking. I have seen many beautiful cathedrals and churches from the inside but this is really something else. The stained glass windows all around are simply awe-inspiring. If you go early or close to the closing time, the lines are not as long.

Erwin Timmerman — Google review

Absolutely beautiful chapel. It's not big at all, but it's a gorgeous jewel just a block from Notre-Dame.Buy your tickets in advance and book a time slot. It will ease your visit by 1000%

Michael Rachid — Google review

Was in France with one of my French friends who mentioned this place and so glad he did. It was a very cool find to drop by and see. It’s not super big, doesn’t take a long time to see but I would say it’s def worth it if you have more time in Paris or you’ve seen all the other big attractions.

OJ — Google review

We almost didn’t include during our visit but so glad we did! Stunning church with amazing history. Hard to believe just how old this church is. It was originally built to hold a portion of the crown of thorns. Just spectacular!!

Jeffrey Costellia — Google review

Possibly the most beautiful place in Paris. You walk into a small chapel with a beautiful ceiling and incredible stained glass window, which you think is awesome. Then you go up stairs and get blown away! The entire top half of the walls is stained glass - rich blues, reds and greens. Just stunning. You need to book in advance (online) and join the queue for your time slot. It's a small place so you may wait a ten minutes but it means you will have space in there. The area may look blocked off with police (next to the Palais de Justice) but show your tickets and they'll let you through.)You are welcome to take photos. There a public toilets before you leave.

Jamie Riddell — Google review

There are two levels to cover. The lower level is beautiful but subtle and displays artefacts retrieved before the renovation and also houses the souvenir shop. The upper level is more crowded and home to the stained glass windows and statues along with the shroud. The place is beautiful inside. Tickets cost around 11€, but are free for certain groups. It's better to book them online in advance (though you might have to stand in a queue anyway).

Awantee. D — Google review

Rode the funicular to the top, and the view of Paris was amazing!! We were told the inside wasn't as good as some we had already seen, so we didn't stand in the line that went around the building to get inside! But we did take pictures of the beautiful exterior!! We heard later we should have waited in line as the church was as pretty inside as out! Oh well, next time we'll know better!!

Rena Correia — Google review

Amazing chapel to visit. I have never seen a more beautiful glass work than in the windows here. Definitely get tickets ahead of time. This chapel is one of the coolest places that I ever visited and I travel a lot.

Archil Pitimashvili — Google review

This church, now an UNESCO World Heritage Site, was built by a French king to house the crown of thorns and pieces of the true cross - they spared no expense. The accessible portions of this site consist of a lower worship area and an upper area. For both of these I recommend the audio guide at least - there is symbolism everywhere and meaning in everything. You will miss it otherwise. The two areas are connected by a windy staircase that was made in the middle ages. When you enter the upper area it’s just an explosion of color that has to be experienced. Today we can but marvel at the craftsmanship of this world treasure. Truly amazing.

Anthony P — Google review

Beautiful tourist spot and a must-see. This was one of my favorite spots as a first time tourist. It felt like a nicer experience compared to a place like the Louvre because it wasn't as hectic or crazy. There were some people but not too many, and it was quiet inside the actual stained glass area.

Sarah Myers — Google review

Immense, vast, tall, grand and majestic. If you buy tickets in advance this does not mean you won't have to line up, be prepared to line up for at least 20mins. The cumbersome security process takes a while. Once you get past this, it's worth it. Be prepared to also climb a few plus some more stairs.

Rob De Franco — Google review

Not a particularly large church (if you walked quickly you'd be done in less than 5 minutes), but still worth a visit. One of the best examples of 13th century Gothic architecture in the world.

Greg P — Google review

The Church is so beautiful. The interior is incredible.Worth it to visit when you are in Paris. We must not queue to enter the Church because already did an online reservation. So, better if you do a reservation before coming here.Sadly we were just doing a short visit because we still must visit other places.

Yani Darrell Holzrichter — Google review

Make sure to book tickets in advance. It's timed entry. I bought our 9:30 am tickets a month in advance. You can come and stand in line to buy tickets, but we got in our 9:30 am line at 8:45 am and there were already people standing in line to buy tickets, by the time we got in, none of those people were able to buy tickets. The person managing the lines is very strict about time stamps on the tickets. All that aside, WOW just WOW😍😍😍 Sainte-Chapelle is the most beautiful place I've seen😍 and we visited a lot of cathedrals in Europe. It's like being inside a jewel. It's breathtaking! You just want to study every piece of the stained windows. They have little information boards in different languages inside and a cute gift shop downstairs. And the bonus is that on the way out you walk through the Palace of Justice courtyard. (There was a separate line to visit Palace of Justice)

Ella Camaro — Google review

Small, but incredibly beautiful stained glass chapel. Don’t miss the informational cards in the chapel that not only explain the process of creating stained glass, but also explain the stories that the stained glass depicts. We went late in the day (5:30pm time slot) and it didn’t feel that crowded either.

Laura Machacek — Google review

We did not have tickets before we arrived but it went fairly quickly and we were in within 10 minutes. However, we arrived at opening so it might be different later in the day. The actual church was very busy and crowded - they had plaques to describe the windows but not enough for most people to have one. Still, it was stunningly beautiful and I must recommend going. There are stairs to see the windows so it is not overly accessible.

KVan — Google review

Small but exquisite chapel with the most amazing stained glass windows. Make sure to book at time slot in advance, avoid the weekend, go early in the day, the chapel is small so 30 minutes is all you need once you are in. It’s just one block from notre dame, easy to find with google maps but few signs. A great brief experiment as part of a walking tour of Paris. Great gift shop.

Basilica

Sights & Landmarks

The imposing, domed white Sacré-Cœur Basilica was built in 1875 after the Franco-Prussian War and the Paris Commune. It is a symbol of the conservative Catholic old guard and contrasts with the bohemian lifestyle that surrounded it. The breathtaking view from its upper parvis over Paris is a major draw for visitors.

Absolutely amazing piece of architecture and a bonus breathtaking view of the city. The church itself is beautiful and sits on a cliff where you have to take a cable car 🚠 uphill but even the view of the church from the bottom is wonderful.

WittyBoi — Google review

This is one of the best locations to visit while in Paris. I would say first place, especially if you aren't lazy enough to walk around and inhale the spirit of old Paris. Each time we visit this Basilica we find something new!

Volodymyr H — Google review

Stunning cathedral! It is located on top of the hill of MontMartre which is such a stunning little district of Paris, like how they depict it in the movies. Winding roads, cobblestone, old buildings and little paths and stairways up, lots of explore. You can go inside and visit the cathedral for free, and sometimes there is a live mass occurring. It is beautiful inside. You can also see Paris from atop at a vantage point here.

Carole Wang — Google review

This was the most wonderful place I visited while in Paris! I fell in love with this cathedral the moment I saw it from afar. The outside of the cathedral is absolutely gorgeous. The inside is breathtaking. Definitely the most beautiful Cathedral I’ve ever been to. They offer the Eucharist at various times of the day as well as confessions. I arrived early in the day, therefore I didn’t have to wait in line to enter. I spent 3-4 hours here.

Stephanie Sanchez — Google review

This place was unexpected. Our tour guide took us here without having known of it prior to going and boy were we surprised how beautiful and amazing it was! From the first time we saw it while walking up through the alley to the time spent walking through the church to admire all the detail we were captivated! And if that wasn’t enough when you walk out you will see some of the best views of Paris! It is well worth the trip! Do some research before going if you require any assistance getting around as there are cobble streets and a steady incline getting to and leaving the area.

Jimmy Ferrazas — Google review

There it stands beautiful on the top of the hill. Breathtaking! Climbing up the stairs I was astonished by the wonderful views of the city and the history marked on every step. Free admission. Totally worth the stairs climbing.

Rand AR — Google review

One of the best places to visit. The white domed cathedral located in Paris is an amazing place to see. The view is great from the cathedral. There is a metro station nearby and you need to climb a few steps to reach the hill top. The cathedral is beautiful from both outside and Inside. The view of Paris is stunning. There is also a cable car directly to the hilltop.

Mohammed Riyan — Google review

One of the most beautiful (and most busy) churches in Paris. You can take the tram or hike up a few flights of stairs. We got lucky and saw a service in process. The music acoustics were amazing. Small prayer candles (€2) large candles (€10). Cash and card are accepted. It is 7€ to go the top look out portion, 270+ Steps! No bathrooms. Tons of vendors selling souvenirs by the steps. If you walk down to the street there are plenty of other souvenir shops. Definitely a must see! Worth the steps to see the view!Ps, Bring a lock and key if you and your loved one want to place your lock on the exterior fence.

Claire Bonnepart — Google review

It is a beautiful white cathedral spotted at a really high place of the French capital, Paris. From there is possible to see almost whole city. And to get inside of the edification is possible too, from where you can have even better view of Paris, after climbing the tower. The inside is also nice.Other nice touristic place of this city!!!

Catholic cathedral

Sights & Landmarks

The cathedral of Notre Dame d'Amiens is a 13th-century Gothic edifice famous for its lavish decoration and carvings, with two unequal towers. It is considered one of the best examples of Gothic art, and is one of the largest medieval cathedrals in the world. With a surface area of 7,700 square meters, it could easily fit a football pitch.

One of the most beautiful cathedrals I have seen in my life due to the fact that it is quite old, with preserved orginal patterns and not very well-known! It has an amazing exterior and also an interior that you can enter for free! 😌

Karolina Palussek — Google review

Amazing Roman Catholic cathedral in almost perfect condition! Very interesting interior.. I saw the portrait of Jesus in very different styles, there’s a labyrinth in the center of the ground. Baroque sculptures. The area was completely destroyed during WWI, but the church was kept untouched thanks to the peoples protection.

Haynes Cheung — Google review

OK, I like visiting historic churches and cathedrals, so unless I find it hideously expensive or in a very poor state when it is advertised as something wonderful I'm going to give it a good review. But as Cathedrals go, it was particularly impressive. A UNESCO world heritage site it is one of the largest 'classic' Gothic churches of the 13th century.

Jo G — Google review

Beautiful cathedral. Very good place to take photos. On some days there are guided tours for the choir stalls.

stanzebla — Google review

At last: a tourist destination that is profound. The reconstruction is ongoing, but the effect is still amazing.

Stephen Mitchell — Google review

Must see is the Chroma light and sound show telling the history around which this Gothic Beauty of a Cathedral has withstood... Simply just AWESOME.P.S remember to walk around the left side of the Cathedral after the show there are after show light shows on all the buildings in the Cathedral Gardens.P.P.S and it's on the way to the cafés, pubs and clubs by L'Petit Hommes in the river

Nikolaj Kielland — Google review

One of the most beautiful carhedrals in France, and the biggest although not the highest. Well preserved. A step back in history. Organ is being restored.

Sonia Thomas — Google review

Wow!!! What a beautiful place to visit and feel humbled and amazed. Go and see it and the area of Amiens is beautiful full of history and the train ride for 10 Euros around the city is great even if your English as the tour is in Frence you still see some cool places 😎

Sarah Morris — Google review

If you are in town for a simple visit, this place is a must. It's astonishing how immense the cathedral is. Tons of histories of the city are displayed inside. It clearly retrace all events that occurred from centuries.Unfortunately the organ was in renovation.

Yui Yoshiko — Google review

It’s a magnificent catherderal and we’ll worth a visit at any time however, if you are lucky enough to see the light show in the summer months, it is spectacular. A quality production and a real asset to the city.

Tom Sharp — Google review

Visited on Easter Sunday, 2023, so the Easter service was underway. I was still able to walk around this impressive cathedral both on the outside and inside. It's also free, so if you like architecture, beautiful stained glass windows and reliefs and plaques which you much see and read, you leave humbled by the amount of work and skill that went into this cathedral

Luke Kenyon — Google review

I didn’t know that this Notre Dame Cathedral is actually twice as big as the one in Paris. It's also a magnificent example of Gothic architecture. Inside, you can see plenty of natural lights, which is a part of its brilliant design. I really liked it!

Nayeem — Google review

Definitely one of the better churches I have seen. Sadly I went close to closing time and it was really dark inside. Even so, still very impressive

Aquarium

Nature & Parks

The Centre national de la Mer in Boulogne-sur-Mer houses a large aquarium with sharks, sea lions and penguins, as well as a tropical lagoon full of colorful coral. This is a great attraction for children who can see some of the more exotic fish species at the aquarium. The historic sites and port of Boulogne-sur-Mer are also worth a visit while in Boulogne.

A truly wonderful day out. During our 6 hour visit we saw everything there was too sea 😉 and enjoyed every minute of it. We have many highlights to share with our family and friends. The auditorium is like the biggest and best TV you will ever see - truly stunning. Could have spent all day there alone, just watching. My wife is slightly disabled, and being able (for free) to have use of a wheelchair (secured with your ID) made the day possible. And with at least 97% accessible with a wheelchair we missed nothing (other 3% you could still see, just not quite as close). Lifts (with notifications giving priority to wheelchair users) are plentiful and like everything else clean, and to a very high standard - and even some nice surprise.Food, maybe is the only negative, we had a crepe for lunch and a coffee (no problems with that), as we planned a restaurant meal that evening, but the other offerings did seem excessively expensive and not that good.In conclusion for a day out of memories, under €30 entry it is well worth a visit.

Ian Steel — Google review

It's a nice aquarium but a but expensive for what it was. We where done in 2 hours. Drove especially from Luxembourg for it which didn't seem to be worth it. Only nice if you are already in the area. Tickets should be maybe only 15 euro per person not 24.

Anusha Mian — Google review

This is a really big aquarium, with a huge central "pool" and then smaller aquariums all around. Lots of floors all having different topics about marine life. Very educational and fun, great family outing. Was quite crowded, but rightfully so. If you so fancy, the sand beach is right outside to build sand castles after (or swim in the sea).

Simon Willems — Google review

Fantastic experience. My view on jellyfish completely changed :) So beautiful... So much to see. Beautiful aquarium. Take it slow and pay lots of attention to what you can find in the aquarium. There is so much going on. Every fish sort had its own behavior. Unique. Never saw something like this before wrt aquariums.

Joost Maltha — Google review

Summary - a pretty damn good aquarium with lots to see and do for kids and adults. It makes The Deep (an aquarium in Hull) seem tiny!We only went here as it was raining but we were certainly glad we did. The first point to note is that the ‘official’ car park has a height restriction so is no good for camper vans. The place itself has two main exhibitions plus a penguin exhibition. The first one has a huge tank with sharks, sting rays and lots of lots of fish. This also has a tunnel through it was is good. There are lots and lots of smaller tanks and exhibits. The second one is based on the coast and, again, has loads of small tanks and exhibitions. However the main attraction are the seals and you can only see these through a wall in their tank. This means that you can see them swim under water. The third area is the penguins and these are in a relatively small area. However we were tired by this point so didn’t stay long. There is the obligatory cafe (warning - expensive) and gift shop (reasonably priced). In all we spent 4 hours there which ain’t bad for the €70 or so it cost. Well worth it.

James C — Google review

Incredible aquarium. Easily the best one I've been to in France, and even rivals some I've been to in the US. The large tank which houses the stingrays and sharks and whatnot was definitely the highlight of the aquarium, I could have stayed there for hours just watching. Overall the aquarium was a great experience, lots to see and would definitely go back. Went on a Monday and there was hardly anybody there, with no wait line to get in.

Levi Merrill — Google review

Nausicaa is truly an experience to take your kids once, to prepare them for the future and climate change. Even though the tariff is high, and yes some reviews do feel it is a glorified sea tank. However given the context we live in this project is remarkable and opens your eyes to the synergies between man and sea in a setting so interactive for kids and adult. Special packages can be introduced to make this accessible to all.

Ruchita Sharma — Google review

I have always wanted to go since I was a kid and we finally managed to get there. Absolutely amazing place, if you love an aquarium trip then you will love this place! Only advice I can offer is give yourself plenty of time to get around it as it's huge!

Stevie Bates — Google review

A great experience, lovely staff and an overall value for money visit. The variety is great too. They have penguins, seals and a large number of sealife including sharks and stingrays. I went with a school trip that I helped organise and can only say that I will be doing this in future! Visit if you can, you won't be disappointed.

Shabazz Siddiq — Google review

It’s very big and beautiful, their seal 🦭 show was pretty nice and the visiting steps are super interesting, they’ve got many fish i’ve never heard of, and a great sea experience!!!

joseph kettaneh — Google review

Great family day out. We spent 5 hours there with 3 kids and they were all entertained. The first part of the exhibition is very digital and tech heavy and there didn't seem to be many fish, but it greatly improved as we moved on to a different exhibition. Food options seemed limited, but the crepes were fresh and tasty.

Laura — Google review

We made a special visit to go as birthday present for our son. You can buy an additional day ticket for only €5 which is excellent value. We spent the second day seeing things we were too tired to appreciate the first day! This is the best aquarium I’ve ever been to and highly recommend it. The welfare of the animals is paramount and it is obvious how well cared for they are.The cafe is mediocre and quite expensive but functional and has the best view over the beach.Best part is the huge deep water tank based on a site off Columbia in Pacific. The giant manta ray is particularly impressive.Only downside was trying to buy an ice cream at the end and the staff member laughed with her colleagues at my poor French. I left customer feedback for that to raise training need but it meant that I left on a down note after 2 brilliant visits. Please visit and enjoy but I can’t recommend the ice creams!

Rosemary Bolton — Google review

The most amazing aquarium I have ever seen. The centre care about their animals !! The place is massive and such great exhibits from different areas of the world.

Chris Hodges — Google review

Very friendly personnel and also very helpful. The aquarium itself is quite big and split up in 2 main parts. It took us 4 hours and 30 to get through it all, at a slow though, which is not bad I think. The place is very clean and modern and there was not a lot of people so it was very comfortable, being a Saturday this was a little bit surprising. The big tank is amazing and is definitely a show stopper. Be sure to check out the giant manta, it's amazing. Parking is located on either side of the facility and is a Qparking. Be mindful however that the beach side parking 'la plage' didn't have Maestro working, so you were only able to pay there with cash, Visa, or Mastercard.

crazedentity — Google review

I didn't really think that this place lived up to the expectations. I would visit if I lived in the town, but wouldn't say its worth a long trip to see. The large centre aquarium is quite amazing but there were a lot of areas that just have screens and tv's. Personally, if I go to an aquarium I don't want to see screens... I want to see the real thing! Knocked off some stars for this reason, otherwise there's a wide variety of fish and cool things to see!

E M — Google review

It was an ok experience. I expected more than just one big fish tank and tiny sea lion and penguin areas. I feel bad about the animals, though, because they look very crammed. The penguins and sea lions enclosures, especially, looked so tiny! Loads of space for people to walk but not enough for the animals. There were restaurants and a smoking area. I'd advise against using the loo if you can hold it because there are some shocking things to see, apparently. My husband went and came back traumatised 🤣

Yuliya Mulvaney — Google review

We spent around 2 hours here, one Sunday. It is an incredible place to visit. Definitely take your time to read all the interesting material that is on offer. The Aquarium is huge and very impressive, with a large array of fish & rare creatures. I would recommend this for all visitors in the area!

Terry Caton — Google review

Such a great experience to visit this aquarium! you can see different kinds of animals there in very close distance, I was so impressive. Highly recommend people to visit !

T Leung — Google review

Really cool and big aquarium with lots of animals to see. We spent 2h here and that was perfect! We visited on a very sunny and warm Sunday 2.5h before the closing so the aquarium was very empty and that made the experience even better! The sea lions show was stunning! And my favourite thing was the biggest aquarium. That one just leaves you speechless. The only downside is that the ticket prices are quite expensive and I definitely wouldn’t want to visit on a rainy day as there are most likely be too many screaming children around. Additionally, there isn’t much interesting information about the animals.

Eva Meglič — Google review

Absolutely impressive. Huge aquarium/sea life center. I have visited many sea life centres in the world but this one definitely stands out. It has 3 distinct exhibitions: mankind & shores, journey on the high seas and in the eye of the climate. It’s a real deep dive into the ocean world, the aquaria are all super nice, the information is complete and the tone of the exhibition is informational, encouraging and positive. Instead of feeling depressed about the current state of the planet (which can be the case after visiting earth-related exhibitions) you walk out of this place with an informed, positive and motivated mindset, all thanks to the ‘both sides of the story’ perspective of the exhibition.Due to its recency (it was completed in 2018) it feels very up to date. The giant aquarium is super impressive (holding a 4m span manta ray), it has a great restaurant, and never felt extremely busy although we went on a holiday and there were many people inside. Throughout all 3 exhibitions nice and calm music helps set the tone, it’s very nice. We visited with 2 kids aged 10 and 12, and they absolutely loved it. Walked in at 11am, finished the tours at 4.30pm with a 1 hour lunch break. Very good value for money, highly recommended!!

Castle

Sights & Landmarks

Dover Castle is one of Englands oldest and most imposing castles, located on a hilltop above the shortest seacrossing between Britain and Europe. It has served as the countrys first line of defence for centuries, while also housing secret wartime tunnels and an underground hospital. The Battlements Walk offers views of the castle from atop its walls, while the Roman Lighthouse is one of only a few extant lighthouses in England.

As a member of English Heritage, entrance here was free. There is ample car parking space as well. Staff here were all really lovely and kind, also very knowledgeable. My four kids, aged between 6 and 12, had a really good time, so much to see including a wonderful tour of the underground tunnel system. Lots of amazing history, great views and the main tower was very well kept. If you are a member of English Heritage, I would definitely recommend this place. My youngest was also studying about castle life at school and it really helped him understand castle life and he enjoyed telling his class about his trip. Big thumbs up to all the staff for being so helpful and kind.

Asim Khawaja — Google review

An amazing place to visit and one of England's top castles for sure. The castle complex is huge with the keep offering impressive views of the whole town of Dover and to the French coastline. Easily 3+ hours of things to see. One of the most impressive I found were the Roman lighthouse and medieval church which underline the significance of the site. Also has very interesting WW2 history with a fascinating tour of the tunnels in which the Dunkirk evacuation was planned.

Henry Gayfer (Harry) — Google review

You can easily spend a whole day here - the castle grounds are massive and there’s a lot to see. The tower can be done quite quickly as there’s actually not much to see inside and the interior is very dated but worth it to climb to the top and see the great views.Definitely recommend doing the war tunnel tour - very interesting and very well put together.

Chantal Johnson — Google review

Great place for kids. Castle itself is not wheelchair or pushchair friendly and there are lots of steps in the castle to get to rooms and top of the castle. They have got handrails. The rest of the grounds have paths. The tunnels are pushchair and wheelcahir friendly as long as your prepared to push them back up the hills. Had great story telling show for the kids in the castle. Stunning views from the tip of the castle. Staff super friendly.

Gillian Selby — Google review

A beautiful historic location with plenty to do and see for a whole day out. Suitable for families. Plenty of parking. Good visitor centre with information. A good restaurant with good choices of hot and cold food and drink. Very picturesque. Staff very friendly and informative. Wet particularly enjoyed the mini show with the king and his son in the main throne room.

Tom Dupplaw — Google review

Beautiful large castle with lots of grounds to walk around, a really interesting walk around the interior with halls to visit and a route up to the roof as well as fascinating wartime tunnels with a really fantastic tour and videos. A couple of gift shops too with the usual stuff and a lovely cafe with proper cooked food too (although obviously quite expensive). Overall an excellent day out and you could easily spend a full day here so make sure you have plenty of time!

T Gage — Google review

Dive into history and the gorgeous sites here in Dover. There is ample parking and walkways that are nice if you are pushing a pram. My "big kid" really enjoyed the tunnel tour while my 9 & 16yr old enjoyed exploring the medieval castle and grounds. We spent easily 2.5hrs but could have spent longer here. If you are an English Heritage member, there is also a cottage on the castle grounds that you can rent. Prices are on the website.

Elizabeth NVelazquez — Google review

This is simple one of the best Castle I've visited, vastly huge and impressive a full day is required. The war tunnels are a must the Dunkirk exhibition is truly emotional. The views from the top of the tower are spectacular. Car parking on site, has a couple of cafes / shops. The role this castle has played in our history is amazing

Steven Moseley — Google review

One of best castle to visit in England - wonderful kept and fully of history. The tunnels are great - but I recommend making them the first things you do as the queues can get rather long. Defiantly allow yourself a whole day there to see everything - we arrived when it opened and lefts just before closing and I'm still not sure if we saw everything. Loads of parking and great for kids.

Stephanie williams — Google review

I love Dover Castle, it is beyond fantasticSo many pivotal pieces of history happened here. You can spend an entire day exploring the premises, walking around and learning. Incredibly views, wonderful staff. A great day out for all ages. The price is quite steep but given the vastness, can't really complain! I believe you can get 10% off if you buy the day before online, so would recommend doing this!

Natasha G — Google review

Beautiful place perfect for a family dayout. The view from top is just spectacular. The castle, up and downhill walk around the garden is fun will keep everyone active all day.The staff are very kind and helpful. They will help you plan the route if you're not sure where to start or if it your first time. Overall, the visit was great. Children had fun all the time. The Castle is a must visit place.

J Grg — Google review

I recently visited Dover Castle, managed by the National Trust in England, and it was an incredible experience. The highlight for me was the immersive journey into history at the war rooms, where you could almost feel the past come to life. The breathtaking views from the castle are simply awe-inspiring. The white cliffs of Dover, the English Channel, and the serene landscape create a picture-perfect setting that's not to be missed. However, I must mention that the parking situation was a bit inconvenient. Despite parking being available, we were directed to park outside the castle, which required at least a 20-minute walk, and this was quite challenging with young kids and a buggy. The gravelly and hilly path added to the difficulty. On the positive side, the history within the castle walls is incredibly rich, and the maintenance of the site is top-notch. The tickets were reasonably priced for the value you receive, making it accessible to a wide range of visitors.Be prepared for a lot of walking as exploring the castle and its surroundings can easily take 4 to 6 hours. I would highly recommend carrying water and snacks to keep energy levels up as you delve into this historic gem. Despite the parking hiccup, Dover Castle is a must-visit for history enthusiasts and those seeking stunning views of the English coastline.

Ajay — Google review

Absolutely loved my day at Dover Castle! The tower was my favourite with some amazing views at the top. The underground hospital tour was surprisingly entertaining, really well done, I felt I went back in time. I only regret the medieval Tunnels were closed to the public.

klaudyna kawecka — Google review

A massive place, so allow I’d say half a day of not all of it to visit. Tunnels are fab and views from the top of the tower are great. Cafe serves half decent food but overpriced as always at these places. Picnic is probably a better option if there a few of you.Negative points for me is the bad signage and the lack of information boards to tell you what things are. Also the amount of distance you have to walk just to get to a toilet! Also the rudeness of some of the staff here is a disgrace! The woman in the shop next to the war tunnels has a bad attitude and would not show my daughter where the magnets were when asked! I wasn’t allowed in the shop due to not having my mask and she couldn’t even be polite about that! Also, if you’re going to enforce mask wearing then at least tell your staff to put their masks right over their face instead of just under their noses. One rule for all not just for us!! I’m not an anti masker, I forgot it.Other then the negatives, I would visit again and allow myself more time to explore.

Caroline B — Google review

I was expecting just a castle but it actually has quite a bit more which surprised me. I found the tunnels in the cliffs more interesting than the castle as it's a bit different . We spent about three and a half hours there and missed a few things to see. The kids seemed to really enjoy it.

Stuart Wright — Google review

Amazing day. Kids loved it, loads to see. Would advise anyone who wants to go in the tunnels to get there early and do it straight away as wait times can build up. Summer holidays they have things for the kids to do on the green in front of the castle. Get the map in the ticket office it will help to make sure you see everything. There is a cafe and tea room but also plenty of picnic benches and grass if you take a packed lunch.

olly — Google review

Gorgeous view and super friendly staff! Little to do on Dover itself, but would definitely recommend a day trip just in the castle. With nice weather, you can even have a picnic on the castle grounds.

Fátin — Google review

What a fascinating place! I used my mobility walker and it was a bit of a challenge in some areas, but there is a courtesy disabled electric bus going constantly around the site which will pick you up and drop you off where you want to go. The staff are so friendly and helpful and very knowledgeable about the castle. The views over the Port of Dover are amazing. The Naafi Restaurant was nice although a bit pricey for a family to dine there. A meal of a small portion of macaroni cheese and a portion of garlic bread was priced about £9. I had a little bottle of juice and a bottle of spring water and it cost £5.75. I subsequently found that complimentary tap water is available. The staff were very helpful and friendly and there was an excellent disabled toilet with an adult hoist. Complimentary Mobility Scooters are also available on a first come first serve basis. If you need assistance to visit the castle, you can get a complimentary ticket with your adult ticket for your carer. We had a fantastic experience visiting and there is so much to see and do that to do it justice it would take another visit!

Rachel Camm — Google review

One word Stunning! I know if you heard it but never came along here you will feel the same even if you’re British or not. From the very beginning with a tiny bridge it starts your special journey. Castle, chapel, view or war tunnels it’s truly stunning. Be careful about to spare enough time because it’s big enough and tunnel tours are not self made tour. If you’re an English heritage member it’s free entrance. If you’re not become one.PS. I would expect a better museum admission because of that many things would be more original or similar as it is not look like a toy specially inside the castle if it’s not main purpose of the design. In tunnels you don’t even see the video specially at the second part.

Cathedral

Sights & Landmarks

One of the oldest and most important churches in England, Canterbury Cathedral is visited by millions of people each year. With rich history dating back more than 1,400 years, the cathedral contains some beautiful historical collections and is home to the Church of England. The main attraction is the crypt which was about to hold a wedding when it was visited.

Amazing experience. So much history and experienced guides who delight in imparting this history. We took a break after an hour or so and went for refreshments. Came back and spent another couple of hours there, a good way to see the Cathedral if you have time. Ticket allows you to return again during the year of issue, excellent value.

Florence Wise — Google review

Sadly on this visit could not go inside the main cathedral because of a private event we could only go to the crypt and the gardens but for a mere £5 it was worth it. You still get to see the stunning architecture of the cathedral from the outside and the crypt has lots of great things to see with such a stunning herb garden. I would recommend that you always check for events before you have you heart set on seeing the cathedral just in case but this was still a lovely option!

Canterbury Cathedral is an absolute marvel of architecture and history, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. From the moment you set foot on the grounds, you are transported to another time and place, surrounded by stunning Gothic architecture and steeped in the rich cultural and religious history of England.Every detail of the cathedral is breathtaking, from the intricate carvings and stained glass windows to the soaring vaulted ceilings and meticulously maintained gardens. The sense of peace and serenity that permeates the cathedral is truly awe-inspiring, and I found myself completely absorbed in the beauty and history of the place. The knowledgeable and friendly staff are a testament to the cathedral's commitment to hospitality, and their willingness to share their expertise and passion for the cathedral's history and significance only adds to the overall experience. Whether you are a history buff, a religious pilgrim, or simply a lover of architecture and beauty, Canterbury Cathedral is an absolute must-see destination. I cannot imagine a more perfect way to spend a day than exploring this magnificent cathedral and all that it has to offer.

Beautiful and ancient cathedral. Stunning stained glass windows.. the cathedral is easily accessible from London and a high speed train takes you to Canterbury in about an hour. The cathedral is easy walking distance from the train station and an easy day trip to cover most of the town. Right now there is a quaint little Christmas market in the city Centre that’s fun to visit.

Canterbury Cathedral is an absolute must-visit when in Canterbury! The cathedral's scale is enormous, and its history is truly amazing. I highly recommend taking the tour, although you might want to ask for a shorter version. But don't worry, the length is due to the cathedral's comprehensive and rich history. The audio guide was indispensable, providing excellent background information that enhanced the overall experience and deepened my understanding of the cathedral's significance. The evensong service was beautiful and serene, and attending a carol service during Christmas time was absolutely magical. These special services truly bring the cathedral to life, so be sure to check the schedule for your visit. The stunning architecture of Canterbury Cathedral is captivating on its own, but the stories of historical figures like Thomas Becket and Henry VIII add an intriguing layer to the visit. Learning about Becket's martyrdom in 1170 and the cathedral's transformation under Henry VIII's reign was particularly fascinating. Don't forget to explore the precincts for a serene and picturesque walk around the cathedral grounds. The combination of awe-inspiring architecture, captivating history, and spiritual services made it an exceptional experience. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone visiting Canterbury.

Lucky to have visited during a concert rehearsal and viewed the Cathedral with an epic orchestra & choir backing. Such a treat! Absolutely massive Cathedral full of history even for a non religious person as myself the architecture & stained glass are particular highlights. Tickets with gift aid donations are valid for a year of return visits.

Enjoyed the day roaming around Canterbury city center and Canterbury Cathedral. Although we had visited before, this time we went for our 1st boat trip around the canals. Really enjoyed the canal trip. Also enjoyed walking through the Free Libary and Art Gallery in the Oldest building. Enjoyed the Pubs and had a fab meal. Most people & staff were very friendly.

I beautiful old cathedral built in the Romanesque style. It is 1000 years old and absolutely amazing. The acoustics are incredible. A choir was singing and we could hear the songs even in the crypt. The don’t build them like this any more. The cathedral has great history (even a grisly murder) and famous people buried within. You approach the castle through the town of Canterbury, which has lots of shopping and food options. The town and cathedral draw a lot of traffic, so be prepared to wait in the weekends. We rented a car and made the drive ourselves and it wasn’t bad but if the thought of driving on the wrong side of the road isn’t appealing, there are many tour groups who go to Canterbury. The trip was fun and I would recommend a visit.

A very grand cathedral and easy access for anyone, dog friendly and you pay once and can go free for an entire year. You can buy tickets on entry. Under 18s are free to enter. There's grounds around the cathedral which are nice to have a walk around with it usually being fairly quiet. The streets around the cathedral are slightly busier but filled with cute shops and independent restaurants.

Canterbury Cathedral is an awe-inspiring historic masterpiece that truly takes your breath away with its remarkable architecture and profound sense of history. Stepping inside its ancient walls is an experience that transcends time, leaving you with an overwhelming sense of wonder. The cathedral's architecture is nothing short of amazing. Its soaring spires, intricate stained glass windows, and meticulously carved stone details are a testament to the skill and craftsmanship of the builders who created this sacred marvel. Every corner of the cathedral holds a piece of history, and the Gothic and Romanesque elements blend seamlessly to create a visually stunning masterpiece.Walking through the cathedral's hallowed halls and cloisters is an experience that words can hardly describe. The weight of centuries of history presses down on you, and you can't help but be moved by the sense of reverence and spirituality that permeates the air. It's a place where time seems to stand still, and you can't help but feel a profound connection to the past.I wholeheartedly recommend visiting Canterbury Cathedral to anyone who has the opportunity. It's not just a place of worship; it's a living testament to human achievement and spiritual devotion. Whether you're a history enthusiast, an architecture lover, or simply seeking a moment of reflection, Canterbury Cathedral is an absolute must-see. The feeling you experience when you walk through its old walls is truly unbelievable, and it's an experience that will stay with you long after you've left.

An absolutely beautiful cathedral riddled in such significant history! The staffers at the visitor center are so helpful and kind. Purchase a ticket there (you have to top up £5 for an audio guide) before you head in to the cathedral. The cathedral itself has plentiful stain glass windows and a direct link to how the England church was born.Do note that while strollers/buggies are allowed inside, there are still quite a number of stairs around which require you to carry your stroller/buggy up/down.The crypt was closed in the morning so we went for lunch nearby and came back just in time for it to be open. Photography isn’t allowed in the crypt.

Visited Canterbury Cathedral on a sunny day, January 16, 2024. Paid £17 for an adult ticket, opted for the full experience. Noticed ongoing restoration work, a testament to preservation efforts. The cathedral boasts extensive history; dedicated a few hours to explore, amidst the grey surroundings. The sound of someone playing the organs added a sublime touch, enhancing the overall experience.

Canterbury Cathedral is not just a building; it's a living testament to over 1,400 years of history, faith, and artistry. Stepping through its grand entrance is akin to stepping into a time machine, transporting you from the modern world to a realm steeped in medieval grandeur and spiritual significance. The sheer scale and intricate details of the cathedral are awe-inspiring. From the soaring Gothic arches and stained glass windows that shimmer with vibrant colors to the Romanesque crypt with its echoing silence, every corner whispers stories of the past. Wandering through the cloisters, with their tranquil gardens and peaceful atmosphere, provides a moment of respite and reflection.Canterbury Cathedral is a must-visit for anyone interested in history, architecture, or simply seeking a unique and uplifting experience. It's a place that resonates with the soul, leaving you with a sense of awe and wonder long after you leave its hallowed halls.

It was chilly but sunny weather. Beautiful cathedral, incredibly built and decorated. We had a great historical time and enjoyed. If you do gift aid when you buy the ticket, you can have 1year anytime visiting ticket. Inside out side it took around 2hours for us. It’s worth to pay and visit. Great 👍

Entry fee is £14 for an adult. Absolutely stunning Cathedral. You can almost feel the history! You can have a guided tour or an audio/ media tour. The guides really know their stuff! Or you can just wander on your own. Thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon here. Would highly recommend a visit.

Beautiful Cathedral! I was here for a ceremony so didn't get a chance to explore the building but the main sanctuary is beautiful. Quick note, there are no toilets in the Cathedral but they have a very clean washroom in separate building just 3 minutes from the entrance.

Lucy Todd — Google review

Such a stunning Cathedral. We spent around 3 hours inside, there is so much to see and admire. In the Crypt no photos or videos are allowed, and it's a silent prayerful space. One can take photos in the rest of the massive cathedral. There is only a small kiosk for coffee and tea on the property, but so many restaurants and Coffee shops are very close. The Cathedral is undergoing constant restoration and maintenance, parts of it outside were covered by scaffolding. There are some beautifully restored, clean walls where the workmen have already done their magic. The cathedral requires £18,000 per DAY to run, so donations are welcome.

Liesel Teversham — Google review

The cathedral is nice looking and the grounds are well maintained. Inside the cathedral the guides are not proactive and don't share information on the site unless prompted (a lot). The day of our visit we saw students graduating, surrounded by their very proud parents. The atmosphere was a little chaotic and but I am sure that this is not usually the case. Whilst viewing an exhibit, there was a fire alarm, I asked the guide if we should leave and where the muster point was. She didn't have an answer. I made the call to evacuate. The fire alarm stopped sounding, so we went back to touring the cathedral. About five minutes later, the alarm sounded again. At this point another of the cathedral's guides came running in and shouting "get out, get out!". The tourists began running. My children were very scared. We CALMLY walked out and when we (again) asked where the muster point was, was told to follow the crowd (!) Unbelievable. We waited until the alarm went off and then when the crowds started piling back in, we asked a guide if we could return. She looked around and said: "I guess so". Upon entering the cathedral, we saw the guide who incited the panic and reminded him that panic causes more accidents. He informed us that the way he behaved this was company protocol! The rest of the visit was spent viewing the cathedral and using Google as my guide. Definitely not worth the money. Particularly, as the staff are not trained in what to do and how to behave in emergencies.

Canterbury is a place where history and modern life coexist harmoniously. It’s a journey through time and a delightful destination for anyone seeking a taste of old-world charm in the UK.Beyond the cathedral, the city’s cobbled streets and medieval buildings create an enchanting atmosphere. The Canterbury Tales attraction brings Chaucer’s tales to life, and you can explore the medieval architecture of Westgate Towers. Finally, Canterbury’s friendly and welcoming atmosphere makes it an ideal destination for travelers seeking both history and contemporary experiences. Whether you’re wandering its ancient streets or enjoying a meal in one of its charming restaurants, Canterbury invites you to savor the best of the past and present.Punting tours in Canterbury often take you past several iconic landmarks, including the stunning Canterbury Cathedral, historic buildings, and beautiful gardens.Highly recommended place to visit!

Unmissable experience for first time visitors, it's no coincidence that this has been a site of pilgrimage for over a millennium. The cathedral with it's iconic mixture of centuries of building styles is worth the price of admission on its own, and the daily services, performances and special events make return trips well worth it.Note that an admission ticket is good for a full year.

Amazing Cathedral; spare minimum 2 hours to enjoy . It’s the second time We visited; both times We were accompanied by our dog. Yes; this is a Dog Friendly attraction just for that 5 Stars . We wanted to take the tours they have available but unfortunately they don’t allow dogs on the guided tours . We payed for the audio tour and it was really good and easy to navigate ; they have it available in few languages ( No Spanish ) .All in all very happy with the service and be able to visit an architectural wonder; while visiting Canterbury.

Cathedral

Sights & Landmarks

Norwich Cathedral is a famous Romanesque church edifice dating from 1096. It's currently the cathedral for the Church of England Diocese of Norwich, and is open to visitors who don't follow its faith. The cathedral has high Norman tower, large monastic cloisters, and some original Norman wall painting.

Wonderful place to visit. My first visit but certainly not my last. The staff were very helpful couldn't and be faulted. Next time I will take the free guided tour.

Neil Linney — Google review

An amazing place to visit and won't break the bank. The entrance is very welcoming. Very open and modern with lots of information on offer and no extra mandatory charge for it, like some cathedrals. You can wander around freely or go on a tour. I chose to walk freely but would recommend a tour if you would like more info or at least picking up some of their booklets. The buildings themselves and grounds are very well kept and are nice to walk around. I am glad this cathedral is being looked after. The upstairs is accessible with a lift where the cafe/toilets and library are situated. I was lucky enough to visit their library on a day where they were allowing visitors to view their older books. This for me was an incredible experience and I am grateful to have seen the incredible volume of books they care for.I did have to park a little bit away but Norwich does have a good amount of parking about, and its the only thing you would have to pay for in this trip.

A must see. Upon entry you are greeted by staff who give you a guide and explain a few things. No entry fee however there is a voluntary donation desk if you wish to donate. Donation is greatly received and appreciated. Inside the Cathedral there is lots to see with beautiful art work and architecture. Soak in the peaceful atmosphere and view the beautiful glass stained windows. There are guided tours. gift shop, cafe and toilets.

A very beautiful cathedral. The cathedral is the seat of the bishop of Norwich and the mother church of the diocese of Norwich. It is located in the heart of the city so I recommend anyone who goes to Norwich to visit. Entrance is free and it is pet friendly as well. The staff is also very helpful and inform you by answering all your questions sincerely.

Mine Osan — Google review

Beautiful cathedral which has a free entry although they do request for a donation at the second entrance (min £5). The shop has a lot of nice items too. Unfortunately, the toilets are closed here so ensure you empty your bowels before hand.

Lovely visit to Norwich cathedral with a primary school group. Informative guides and interactive stained glass activities with the children. The cathedral is clean, tidy and well looked after. Cashless cafe.

A must see on your to do list if visiting Norwich. We visited around 2.30pm on a Sunday in December. We were welcomed by a very friendly, bubbly, informative lady at the entrance.Entrance is free but if you can give a donation it all helps to keep this incredible building in the remarkable condition it is.We listened to the organ playing whilst taking in the breathtaking stained glass windows, incredible architecture (remember to look up) and the history. Pausing to light candles in remembrance of others and for peace. Sitting for a few moments of prayer and contemplation. There is a wonderful cafe attached to the side of the cathedral, scrumptious cakes, scones, rolls, pastries, mince pies; eat in or take out. We sat and had a delicious cup of earl grey and a nibble of naughtiness.Would highly recommend to all.

Phenomenal is the only word for it. It is free to visit and Dogs are allowed, which is rare. The building is HUGE, with so many Chapels within it. The whole building is beautiful and so well maintained. Allow two hours to see it properly. There is a Cafe on the upper level too.

OUTSTANDINGThe best religious building I've been in by far.The history is fascinating. If you get the chance to do a guided tour then you must, there knowledge is amazing.Loved everything about this Cathedral.

Sara Tomlinson — Google review

Really lovely cathedral right in the middle of Norwich, in walking distance of the train station. I only popped in for a quick visit so really didn't get the full experience. I'd love to come back and invest a bit more time as there's so much to look at and so much history to learn about. I recommend giving yourself a couple of hours if you really want to explore everything, however it's still worth going in if you only have a little bit of time.

Connor Scott-Gardner — Google review

Very impressive cathedral, amazed it was free to visit! I particularly enjoyed the treasury and seeing the painted brickwork up close, many people don't know that these historic buildings were painted when they were first built, that paint has largely faded over the centuries.

Stunning architectural building made many of our group feel so emotional. To think it took 50 years to construct is truly amazing especially considering it dates back to 1096.Our son took part in being a chorister for a day last Saturday. It was so special and something we will always remember. The staff were so committed and passionate. It was a real privilege.Definitely recommend the shop, too. Lots of lovely bits and pieces to buy for presents or keep sakes to remember the day, reasonably priced and good quality. We give 5*

Incredible 900 year old building, absolutely huge and stunningly beautiful. Spent well over an hour here because there was just so much to see.Can visit for free or make a donation.Staff were so friendly and helpful. Highly recommended. One of the best cathedrals I've ever been to.

Love this cathedral. Love the grounds and building. You can light candles and give prayer requests. It's donation only and walkable to the main city as it's the bottle m end of the city.Your surrounded by plenty of places to eat .If Norwich is new to you, Riverside has gravity / the Odeon a/ swimming and bowling etc and the main centre has most stores and some quaint side streets. The assembly house is an amazing place for a treat afternoon tea and an amazing building in itself.

Just not enough time to explore this amazing building, it's actually really big and the courtyard reminds me of something from Harry Potter or X Men. You have to come here with 2-3 hours to appreciate. Also wrap up as it's cold in here too!

The cathedral is nice. The staff very welcoming and friendly. Lovely place to relax if you need to quiet your mind. What's really lovely though is the surrounding area. The most beutiful chocolate box houses you've ever seen

It is a fantastic building worth exploring if you are in Norwich. Some lovely stained glass windows are framed by the architecture, and the craftsmanship is incredible. Free to explore and see what the building has to offer. There is a cafe, toilets and a gift shop and a labyrinth in the cloister. I visited late in the day so the cafe and shop were closed along with the exhibition but reason to visit again one day

Ashley Lightfoot — Google review

I absolutely loved our visit to Norwich Cathedral. They have super helpful volunteers on the door that are extremely nice and make you feel really welcome. We joined a free tour which was superb, it lasted just over an hour and I could have listened to the guide all day. The architecture was simply stunning and the information that the guide conveyed brought the history of the cathedral to life. I loved the carvings of the Green Men dotted all over the place. Entry was free (as it should be for a place of worship) but I was more than happy to make a donation to this wonderful place.

Loved visiting Norwich Cathedral. For starters, entry is free which can be a big help to larger groups and families. The Cathedral is kept in excellent condition and most areas were accesable. The staff are very friendly and the Cathedral also offer free tours around. It was really good to walk around and enjoy all the sights of the Cathedral. Overall a good experience and the atmosphere was excellent. 👍😁

Zoo

Outdoor Activities

Colchester Zoo is a large zoo, with 200 different species of animals and many interactive features. There are also special themed zones, such as the Orangutan Forest and Edge of Africa.

A fantastic day out for the whole family. This is a nice big zoo with a huge range of animals. You can easily spend all day here and not see everything. We have a zoo pass and go most weekends. There are loads of places for food and drink. The hot chocolate is amazing! The jungle tumble soft play is a really fun part for younger kids to enjoy. They run in 45 minute slots (you must book!), so a good chunk of time to wear the children out a little. They are constantly revamping areas, so it is cool to see the changes as they happen.Overall there is a wide range of interactive areas and activities. Near the eelphants they have an area where you can hold stick insects or African land snails, etc.The train takes you from the tigers to the lemurs and back again (return trip is up to you).I feel that I could waffle on for ages about this place, but I would definitely recommend it. If visiting from afar, definitely come along for a trip, or if local, I would strongly recommend getting a pass. I had one before having a child and loved the after work walks to the tigers and back!

What a brilliant day out for the whole family! We spent 7 hours here! There really is so much to do, so many animals to see.A few lovely little parks also.Plenty of toilets around.A few different places to stop for food or drinks.

Tracey Butcher — Google review

A great day, we all preferred the second half of the zoo where the bigger animals were kept as it was a lot more open, less cramped and less slopes. Overall there was a great selection of animals to see and things to do for all ages. Took us all day to soak it all up without really stopping to eat. Feeding the giraffes was definitely the highlight for me and the Komodo dragons talk was the highlight for my daughter

Lucy Dunne — Google review

Even though it's 3+ hours drive, it's a lovely zoo to visit.Few new things since we last visited.Great exhibits, and they're all built with the animals' welfare as first thought. Not good for people who are motility impaired due to the hilly nature, but most of it's still accessible.Definitely worth visiting.

Steve Waite — Google review

My wife and I visited here for the fourth time and our experiences have only got better. We were welcomed by the staff attending the entrance, and easily located maps of the park. We visited at half nine and therefore weren't surprised when we couldn't see a lot of the external animals. We had a nice stroll through the park looking at the animals we could see and we had intentions on going round the park again. We got some awesome photos and we were extremely lucky with some of them. We had an amazing day and loved seeing how far the park has come from the first time we visited it 7 years ago. While there were refurbishments currently in progress it only makes our next visit even more exciting. I would recommend everyone to see this place at least once and I would also recommend you book online, although you save some money I would also urge you to make a donation while in the park as well. Colchester Zoo always delivers!!!! (Haven't included all the photos but just a few favorites)

An absolutely wonderful zoo. We visited on a cold March day, yet the welcome was very warm. Lovely the way you wander round. The animals have plenty of privacy but you also get great views. The tiger enclosure seemed so natural. The edge of Africa was so well laid out. Highly recommended

An enormous zoo just 40 min outside of London! A great place to spend a day! It’s kid-friendly. Buy tickets in advance. We also tried one of the experiences available - feeding the elephants. It was definitely worth it. You should try one too! There are plenty of restaurants and cafes. The gift shop is big and full of interesting things to buy as a souvenir. The parking lot is enormous and it’s part of your ticket so no worry. There are also free tours available in different section throughout the day - look at the map at the beginning of your journey. Dive in the interactive activities that are free of charge!

My daughter bought me a Zookeeper for the Day experience. We came yesterday. Loved every minute of it. Keeper's are so friendly and knowledgeable and great to see how proud and caring they are for their animals.Would recommend this for anyone who loves animals, and wants to work with animals. Thank you all so much for a very memorable day.

This zoo provides a great family fun day out! We all enjoyed our experience. There are various different types of animals and so much to see. You definitely need the whole day to explore. There are also lots of fun play areas for little ones which is fantastic! The zoo itself is huge and takes a while to get around. They also have a free train service incorporated within the zoo that allows anyone to get on and go on a short tour with the guide. The toilets are well maintained and clean. The feeding facilities for babies are also amazing. There are plenty of shops around and lots of sitting areas, perfect to bring your own food and enjoy too!

Tickets for 2 adults and 1 child about £80 so if you can use your Tesco points. The big zoo , can see a lot of different animals. The place has cafes , a playing area, an activity area for kids or you can bring your own food, gift shops , ice- cream cafe, toilets). Better to start exploring from the left side ( less people so you can enjoy a nice walk+ not long to wait for the train, usually later there will be a long queue). Kids can feed goats -goat food costs £1 but it's really fun.Usually it takes all day to walk around the zoo so make sure you have comfy shoes.

I visited for the newly added Pygmy Hippo experience and this was a great experience. As well as being informative, I was able to get really close to Venus, feed her fruit and help prepare her enclosure. My keeper was great, deeply cared about all the animals on his section (Giraffe) and spoke about how Venus will be enriched by this new experience as she has recently lost her partner, Freddy. The zoo is fantastic, so much for adults and children to do. I went during the week, which was really quiet, but would I really loved is that all the animal talks proceeded even though I was the only one there. Each staff member waited at the meeting point and happily invited questions.Ate in the food outlets and prices were very reasonable. Breakfast roll was under £4 and cooked freshly for you. Great range of vegan treats and loads for the children to do. Will definitely be returning!

GJX W — Google review

Had a great day out at the zoo. Plenty to keep all ages entertained for hours. Special mention for Paul who was one of the guides on the train. How he can keep telling the guests about all the animals and telling jokes whilst having to hurd us off on and off the train and through the enclosure without having a melt down is amazing. Keep up the good work.Overall I can't fault anything about my visit. Highly recommend and I will be visiting with the kids again soon.

Paul Mills — Google review

Even with a wet and rainy day the Zoo was still very good. The staff are all nice and polite. A gold pass holder has a lot of good benefits. Kids love the soft play area which is free but need to book a place in advance as it gets fully booked quickly.

I liked this zoo when I came the 1st time ten years ago, it was even better this time round with my kids. The things we liked; The lion roaring at the visitors. Sleeping all day crocodile. The hungry otter sisters. Sensible soft play. Bargain new year tickets. Underwater Anaconda. All the little bush dogs by the train station. Plenty of play parks for a sit down.

Fantastic day out, even my 16yo & 18 yo daughters enjoyed it. Booked tickets online which was easy . We also booked the giraffe 🦒 & elephant 🐘 feeding experiences, which was definitely money well spent. We went 19/04/22 . Spacious zoo, one of the best that I’ve ever visited. Arrived 9:45 stayed until 5pm . All the animals seemed happy in their environment which was kept clean. Download the App onto your phone as a map etc . Can’t fault this place, even the toilets 🚽 were clean. The staff were helpful that worked there

We had a lovely day out. We got there early and did need the full day (10:30-17:45) We had two children under four and a baby, the toddlers loved it! They are both good happy walkers, so if your child doesn't like walking too much you will need a push chair. Lots of hills, but lots of benches everywhere. All the animals were easy to see and all looked happy and healthy. The train ride was fantastic, a queue to get on however they had two trains running. Well worth it as you then walk through the lemur enclosure.Indoor play area was fantastic, they had timed slots, so book ahead. As it's at the start of the park, either do it first thing or last. If you go in the middle of the day you'll be going backwards and forwards. We didn't know the birds that you can feed stop being fed at 16:00. So make sure you do that before then. Also we found there weren't many toilets, there was a wait each time. All in all a very good day.

Sarah Lewin — Google review

Excellent zoo with lots to see, Not the cheapest and often deals on tickets via Groupon/Kids pass (saved over £5 with this one), etc. Includes some farm animals, goats, pigs.Worth checking the times for various talks/feeding times as well. We were lucky enough to see the Otter feeding.

Mark Freeman — Google review

We absolutely love, Colchester Zoo. Lots of talks and interaction. The parakeet feeding part, was new to us and we thoroughly enjoyed it 🙂.It is a shame though, as years ago, you could queue and feed the Giraffes and Elephants. But you now have to pay extra for that. But I appreciate that it can't be cheap to keep a zoo going, especially in this economy and they do a lot to help support wild animals, so it's all worth it 😊.

A brilliant day out with the family on my return visit after quite a few years.Very busy bankholiday Monday, which added to the atmosphere.Plenty of parking with entry being managed very well and efficiently without queues.Place was very clean, well designed, and easy to get around.Plenty of cafes, food outlets and ice cream Stores to keep family happy. Most importantly the big 5 were out and not hiding🦁🐯🦒🐘🦏

The best zoo I have been too. Lots of animals, lots of play parks scattered around the zoo, a train ride around some of the park into an up close visit into the ring-tailed lemur exhibit. Food seems a little pricey but that's no different to any other place.

We visited Colchester zoo today(15/01/24) for the extraordinary experience full day for my son’s Christmas present and it went far beyond expectation. From start to finish you are met with a wealth of knowledge of the animals and zoos history while having special encounters with the animals. You are well catered for the day during your experience making the day care free. Our host Amanda was so knowledgeable and went above and beyond to make the day amazing as was all the keepers we met through out the day. The care and passion the team have here for the animals is very evident. Experience was true value for money while the memories you keep from it especially for my son!

The staff are always so happy and friendly. The Billy-Joe walk is very emotional. This is a zoo that truly loves their animals and you can feel the love for their animals - especially the ones they’ve had to say goodbye to. The enclosures are always clean, happy animals, very social! We love going here and will continue to support the zoo due to their caring nature. The orangutan was my favourite. She was swinging around, playing with cardboard, coming up and inspecting people.Thank you for always being fantastic and putting animals first!
